I pretty sure we can forget the job system for FFXIII... it really doesn't seem they will go that way. I think they might use something similar to FFVI magic learning system, when you must equip a certain esper to learn a set of ability or magic, I don't know...
and yes me too I want character that has they own ability. FFX was ok at first but when you were starting to go into the path of others character that,s were I stop and didn't wanted to complete the grid... I don't like when all character are identical in the end, it just seem to take away from the character, because the way they fight is a part of what they are... |

Hmmm. |
Hmm, interesting, could this be the FFXIII X360 version?
|
I don't know where people are getting all these ideas of there being a X360 version of FFXIII. The only thing that's been said is that Sony is looking to secure FFXIII as an exclusive. All that sais is that they're tired of loosing titles and they're finally willing to do what it takes to secure their assets. Where in there do people get that there is some magical X360 version. If you want the game so bad just get a damn PS3, cause 360 version or not it WILL be on the PS3 also. If you don't want to drop the $$ for a PS3 then keep making up mythical information in hopes of the dream fairy of making them come true.

I'm wondering if it has any relationship with this:

I don't really care how many spinoffs of this game they make. Just as long as they are GOOD.
As cool as the battle system was in FFX-2, the game bombed. DoC and Before Crisis were no good. Advent Children fared the best of the FFVII spinoffs, but even that was a disappointment to most serious fans. Since this is an original concept, the best thing we can hope for is a good story. Given his track record with the last few projects (Kingdom Hearts 2, Advent Children), I pray for a good story more than anything else. Square Enix has their battle systems down tight lock these days. A bad battle system doesn't really worry me at all, considering how great KH2, VP:2, and FFXII's battles were. |
Well the KH2 story was pretty damn good, and the Advent Children was also pretty good too, don't know the FFVII fans that you know, but I think only a couple of fans who come to my store were let down by the story a bit, but the Voice Acting (English) and action still made it a well worth while experiance. Therefore I don't think the story department of FFXIII is in too much danger.
Still can't wait for Crisis Core ^^ |

Well for a cellphone game what do you expect? Hopefully the port will get some beefing up before hitting stateside on the GBA.

But getting back onto the discussion: FFXIII: Haeresis's Registration page can be found here for the curious: http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?r...Request+Status And the "Logo" for the game: http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4301/21926860vw3.jpg |
well Motomu Toriyama director of FFXIII apparently comfirm that there will be more games for the Fabulla nova crystalis project, and there some chances that those new game might not be on the ps3.
3 games was enough for, well more 2 because the cellphone number I'm pretty we will never see it here... as for the console, I think it could be a portable system like PSP. I really don't see or understand why Square-Enix would want to create a little series of games across all next-gen platform, it kind of stupid... |
What exactly is stupid about it?
|
I don't know, maybe that you have to buy more than one console to know all the story behind it? the ps3 is expensive enough, I don't want to buy a 360 or a wii just to know all the story of FFXIII...
and I should have said stupid for now, because not everyone has more then one next-gen console. Maybe when the next-gen will more "common" that a project on more than one console it will be ok... if all game of FFXIII go multi-platform, then I don't really car, but if I have understand that correctly they talk that the new games beside the 3 already announced, might go on another platform, that's what bother me a little... |
Well, with the current trend of gaming announcements, I'd wager any of the projects they have intended for PS3 will show face on 360, and that nothing would be exclusive to the 360 since the PS3 dominates over the 360 in Japan, and vice versa for America... it really seems that you only need to buy either the 360 or the PS3 and you're basically set to play the majority of the major titles from Japan.

Three more projects. Which I'm willing to bet on a PSP versioni and DS or Wii version of these FFXIII spin offs. I still doubt we'll see any FF game go to the 360. |
this is like I said >.> I,m pretty sure one of those new games is a portable one, probably psp, I just don't want the other two on the wii or 360, mainly because of what I said earlier. I think if they want to go on other platform, they either go for all game multi-platform or they stay on one, I don't like the idea of spreading one series of games ,that are related together, on multiple-platform...
|
They are only related by titles and crystals. It's not the stories coincide.
I can see one game going for PSP most definitely. And DS to, maybe. Wii and 360 I don't see though, unless one FNC game happens to be a MMORPG, then one could end up on 360 like FFXI. |
I have a bad feeling about the multi project Final Fantasy XIII. While it would be interesting to have 5 games on different consoles, giving different experiences to the stories, I'm just not sure about it.
PS3 is still very expensive. I don't want one until I get a HDTV. While Final Fantasy is a strong franchise, I think it would be dumb to not make it availble on 360 (at least in America). Sony is going to have to make a major price cut ($100 at least. preferably $200) if they want to jump to the front of Xbox. I think a Wii FFXIII would be interesting (maybe one in the style of Kingdom Hearts?). Maybe Final Fantasy will have enough pull. We'll have to wait and see, it seems. |

I honestly believe Sony will do it's best to make sure FF13 remains solely for the PS3 no matter what. It's a system seller and Sony does own a fair amount of stock in the company itself.
I'm sure they will pull with all their might to make sure it squeezes as much profit out of the PS3 as they can. Maybe later on, sometime afterwards it will get a port over but for SE to do it from the getgo would just be a huge donkey punch up Sony's asshole -- so I have a feeling they won't be on good terms anymore if they tried to do a duel release. I'm also pretty dodgey on the multiple games, though. Odds are I will only play FF13 itself, and *maybe* versus if it ends up as good as it looks. I'll probably pass on the rest of the games. |
I know they said they will have a playable demo out for this game by the end of the year, but do you think they will have a gameplay video at the SE party?

I never understood close door trailers, its like they're saying they have little faith in what they're showing. People actually WANT to see this stuff Square, instead of relying on fan translated scans and trailers caught on video at a game store in Akihabara.
