Guys do you know if all these sealstone stack?
For example the ones that raise RDM RDM +120% RDM +200%/disable menu RDM +200%/-25% attack. Do all of them stack or not? I have all 3 equiped at the moment and i can't really tell a difference. |
Hey, you know what I missed out on since reading the first few posts of this thread? Object reading. Was this action only preformed in the cutscenes to locate the dragon orb, or were there actual items you could get Alicia/Silmberia to check up on? Perhaps it was only those blue "help/tutorial" spheres. ;__;

If you got Falx, you won't be getting Adonis. Also rearing at Chapter 4. What the hell man, I need green runes! |
You get tons of green items in chapter 5, don't you worry.

Since many people say that this is one of the best ps2 rpg (if not the beast at this time), and that it doesn't matter if you begin with vp1 or vp2, i decided to begin with the worse (vp1), to move to vp2. So, do you know where i can find a new cheap original copy of vp1?
|
Valkyrie Profile worse than Silmeria. Ahahaha.
|
Mine is a supposition. Infact, if people say that vp2 is the actual best ps2 rpg, and the FACT that vp1 is not the psx best rpg, i tought that vp2 would be better than vp1.
Correct me if i'm wrong :) . |
I needed a good laugh. Thanks!
And good luck finding a copy of VP that is cheap. |
So, are you saying that vp1 is better than vp2 too?
Anyway, i guess that you laughed so hard that you did shit in your pants...unless that is something you usually do ^^. |
What? Valkyrie Profile is the best PSX RPG. Oh, opinions.
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria is a fine game, but I can't imagine it being anywhere near as enjoybale without having played (and loved) the original Valkyrie Profile. And even with that gained enjoyment, it still falls short of surpassing the original. Really now, judging games without playing them really isn't a great idea. |
They're both great on different grounds, so I do not see the reason why one is superior than the other.
Anyway, still the Palace thing. Still great with the Pig + Friend Law. With the Dragon Zombie. By the way, where can I get ingredients for a Shiny Rupture? |
I think both games are different enough that comparing them is pretty silly. They both offer enough of a unique experience from one another that both are worth playing on their own merits.
There are plenty of things in VP2 I like more than the original, and vice versa. They are both great games and for once I didn't get the feeling that the sequel was disappointing compared to the original. |
But you know, people will never be satisfied. If a game is successful and you really really love it, the sequel will never be like the original. Like Chrono Cross for example which was an outstanding game, but people kept saying it was crap, just because chrono wasn't a playable character.
I loved VP2 and it's the best rpg i've played so far in ps2 (i bought it like 3 months ago). It felt kinda shot in story, but the gameplay kept me playing. VP1 had bad things too like that damn lag when you try to jump. It looks like people can't stand that a game can be up to the original (not necessarily better, but at least a good sequel). They force themselves to find defects so the original can still be a classic (this also applies to movies). |
Oh snap, my :tpg: face was deleted or something, well here it is again.
Don't turn this thread into a "which game is better thread", go to GameFAQs for that crap please. Dylan Spoiler (End of Chapter 4) Spoiler:

Looks like I'm stuck in the Hall of Valhalla.
I'm 93% done the map, however there's one seal left that I have to pass, and it's with a jar that's sitting in the middle of the hallway. If I move it, it slides back to it's original spot horizontally. There is only one of them. I've neutralized the other two seals, and this is the last one. How do I go about doing this? |
You might be talking about the one which has a second, er, "jar" in the same room but high up in the air. You need to go up and during a horizontal walkway look to the left and see it floating right next to the fencing of the walkway in midair. Ride it down and the rest should be obvious.
|
Thank you very much, I have missed that "jar", which I got that term from Gamefaqs, which it's explanation did not help me at all initially. Again, thank you.

Dylan Spoiler (Chapter 6)
Spoiler:

I have just started chapter 6.

Well I just beat the game and rather enjoyed it. I thought the story got slightly off track towards the end but I thought it did a fairly good job of keeping me entertained regardless.
Anyway, I'm planning to do the Seraphic Gate on this file (I opened it before I fought the last boss) and was wondering where exactly I should level up. Alicia's on lvl 73, Rufus is on 83, and I've got Falx and Phyress both around 65 or so..is the SG the best place to level now? |
