Good God. The most I ever spent was 14k on Dark Twin Rippers. Anyone know when the new weapon classes come out?

They're not bad. Between the 4 6* duals that really matter (Youmei, GRM, and the Kubara synths for each), These are the most balanced of the 4 between power and PP, based on +5 grinded stats (I refuse to go higher than that). Over "retail" once these become more common, I probably paid twice as much. Now if the expert class hits this coming Thursday, I'll be kinda pissed. However if the expert class comes next week (which is what I expect) or later, I'll feel reasonably justified. They are black though (that's how you can tell Kubara weapons apart, they're black skinned), and look pretty cool if nothing else.

Besides, I had about 200k, and from what I've made today combined with me selling Kyndig the 6* Tenora dark spear I was using before I switched back to Ranger, I should hit 100k or so by the time I log off tonight, so kinda whatever really :P Money isn't a terribly huge issue for me. I've spent a lot of money on misc. stuff, like a dark and light 4 star armor (for Linear Line S and holy relics runs respectively), and things like that. I usually float between 150k-200k pretty consistently, so not a big deal.

Also, I never see you on anymore Lacerta >_>

This happened to me several times and it pisses me off.

Anyone had that problem?

It will do that if someone in your party is about to DC. Otherwise, I guess it's a server problem.

I have a similar problem but it's with all loading zones - it will sit at the zone screen for about 40 seconds. I'm always the last person in a zone and out of it.

BIGWORM Nov 25, 2006 06:11 PM

Wow, if you're running with a fast pt, they'll diminish a good chunk of a zone in that time.

Your playing times are so different from mine <_<

SailorDaravon Nov 25, 2006 08:07 PM

I'm on ALL DAY Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And I'm on briefly every morning Mon-Thu, and every night those days. My gametime's over 300 hours, it would be hard to NOT play sometime in my hours :P

Lacerta Nov 25, 2006 09:03 PM

I can only put in like an hour a day now D:

Once the semester is over I'll be able to put in overtime =P

I've been working a lot lately, and when I get home I just don't feel like slaying the dragon 40 times in a row. I guess I'm just dead tired of this game, heh. Moatoob included. I'll pay the next month to see what, or IF they'll have any holiday events, but after that idk if I'll play anymore.

Sad to say it doesn't have the 5 year staying power PSO had.

Its most likely the content. Ever since Moatoob update came out, I barely touch De Ragan anymore. And Im sure things will continue to change.

Its rumoured that new weapons, expert classes and Episode II ch1 is to be released this coming thursday which definitely would keep you busy.

And I hope that christmas themes come on time. If sega continues the 2 week trend then things should look fairly good.

Kenichi Nov 26, 2006 12:41 AM

I don't like Moatoob, it's boring. And the boss is the same as the one on Neudaiz but with a few more attacks. The new missions on Parum are nice, but not enough people play them. They just do De Ragon runs all day.

Yeah thats the sad thing... people still do de ragan frequently.you need to find those groups ofpeople that like to do universal runs (meaning play through every single available mission once)

Winter Storm Nov 26, 2006 08:01 AM

I will do ALL missions EXCEPT the Underwater plant/temporary lab. Screw Super Rabarta X and Megid. I'll save my scape dolls for a mission that is worth it. I went 56-0(56 levels without dying/over 2 characters) and that came to an end when I died twice in there. I'm never going back. The slowness with content releases don't bother me as much as the others cause I'm still benefitting from the current missions. However, it's a pain in the ass to get a group for Neudaiz relics, my new favorite mission to spam to death.

Sadly yes, but I deal because the boss xp and S rank reward makes up for it.

SailorDaravon - Is your character named "Daravon"? Cast all black, lvl 50 ranger?

Oh, that would explain some things. I was in the party at the time of this black screen loading and it was seriously like a good 5 minutes long. One of the other party members the next day told me that they accidentally knocked over their PS2 then, killing both the unit and the game. Obviously, they weren't online when the fight started.

Para Nov 26, 2006 06:43 PM

Yeah that Black Cast Ranger Daravon is him.

Winter Storm Nov 26, 2006 09:43 PM

Shotgun Mania ;)

We partied yesterday in Agata Relics. I was the human hunter with the cool hat throwing my spears around.

SailorDaravon Nov 26, 2006 09:52 PM

Really? I remember you (but not the name). Mainly the tall beast guy who wouldn't shut up about the shotguns.

Also Miles gets on for the first time in weeks (?). Messages me that the game is dead, I'm the only person on his card list. Universe 1 is totally full, and 2 nearly full, which overall is nearly the busiest I've ever seen it (I can only recall one time Uni 2 was full, I think a day or two after launch), and I have 12 people on my card list on, which is more than usual. As I'm replying to this he logs off. It's as busy as ever Miles, don't know what you're talking about~

Winter Storm Nov 27, 2006 12:49 PM

It's Elathia. An alt of mine turn main(my main was 44).

Not one to debate with people but you were saying that the JP version does not have S-rank missions and that they are a long way off. It was at the point that I decided to shut my mouth.

Then again this is the only PSU topic I can find on the net that doesn't contain the irritating 'not enough content' drama. So I'll just leave it at that.

Well, I was just saying out of a card list of 40 people you were the only one online so it seemed to me like no one plays anymore. But Wii > PSU.

I said Japan can't GRIND s-rank WEAPONS. Like three times. I never said anything at all about missions. It only came up because he was talking about getting an S rank shotgun or bow (I forget which) grinded to +10, which would make him as a beast a better ranger than a cast. I mentioned Japan doesn't even have A rank grinder boards available yet, so S rank is several months off for US at the least. Which is what we were talking about. I remember specifically because he kept insisting his "friend's" shotgun fires 5 bullets at lvl 20, which is totally incorrect :p.

I've fully aware Japan has quite a few S-rank missions.

Para Nov 27, 2006 06:41 PM

Infact SEGA announced that PSU:JP are getting more S rank missions in the next coming update.

Hotobu Nov 28, 2006 01:54 AM

NOT ENOUGH CONTENT! no seriously, is it possible to get an armor with all 4 slots open? I'm assuming if it is buying it or synthesizing is the only way.

BTW the beginning game in PSU is exceedingly arduous. Especially as a ranger. It seems that rangers, moreso than hunters or forces, take quite a while to be worthy characters. While Forces can level their techs to 30 they still do big damage at any level compared to rangers, and if nothing else can resta/reverser the party. To be a useful ranger you need 11+ bullets and a good aray of weapons/traps to make the party see your impact.

Just a rant. I'm not debating my choice, it's just what I've noticed thus far.

Winter Storm Nov 28, 2006 08:10 AM

Ok well I feel like an idiot for not reading properly.

And Hotobu, I don't know about other hunters and forces, but I can always tell when there is a ranger in my party. You guys are not about damage, you're all about DOTing and status killing. Trust me things are S L O W without atleast 1 ranger. The impact is huge~~.

SailorDaravon Nov 28, 2006 08:29 AM

Yeah, most players appreciate rangers. We don't do as much damage, but usually we're SE'ing enemies, and also leading them away from other people and flinching them, allowing others to get in more hits. Never let anyone tell you Rangers suck :p

Offhand I know there's a 8* armor that has all 4 slots open, I'm not sure if there's one lower rank that has all 4 off the top of my head.
