Why does he have a cape that turns into wings? Why does he have arms and hands?
My theory is he has copy abilities as well. Something weird he ate must have given him those and he never got rid of them. |
Maybe they're cybernetic.
"It's over, Meta Knight! I have the high ground!" ::Kirby chops off limbs:: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" |

I'm aware that this is a joke but I still find it infuriating. |
New topic: A friend just showed me this.
Thoughts? I'm personally struggling to see the resemblance between the symbol on the flag and the symbol on the badge... |
Your friend's wrong, sorry, there's just no resemblance between the flag and the symbol on the FE map.
And besides, there are better character choices if you're going from Fire Emblem: Path of Raidiance. Try the Black Knight, or heck maybe Ike (despite his similarities to Marth and Roy) or Titania. |

The guy said that he knew all along that you were just joking but as you can see, he editted his post a few minutes later after realizing that he just made a fool of himself.

Ooh, I see. But he still finds it infuriating...

What game is that from??? I mean, the character. |
I did a Google Search and was pointed to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
|
Mmmm.. Forwhoever said that it could be that one guy is in it... maybe teh stage is for Roy and Marth(sp)?
|
That doesn't explain why the Daien flag is there. Marth and Roy can't share a stage unless it's extremely ambiguous since they don't share the same universe. It has to be someone from one game in particular.
This guy probably thinks it's Ashnard in specific and not someone else from Path of Radiance because we never visit Daien. After Crimea is defeated, Ashnard quickly takes up residence in its capital. Still, why he would be in it before Ike or the hero(ine) of Fire Emblem X is beyond me. EDIT: Ah, you know what? The hub-bub right now is that Fire Emblem X is looking like a direct sequel to Path of Radiance. The game is more than likely to take us to Daien, meaning almost anyone from the game could be in it. |
NO offense but Stages don't have to make sense... As it is, the game doesn't really makes sense to begin with..

I can see an enemy castle from Fire Emblem being a stage, while having a good guy (Ike, probably, and Marth and Roy if they keep them) being a playable character.
I mean, it's not like you're going to fight in a good guy castle. That doesn't happen all that often in Fire Emblem. |
I don't think they should add anymore Fire Emblem characters, I think they should try to have a variety of characters from differant games. There are already alot of Mario characters, and far too many pokemon, I just want there to be a fair amount of characters from games not used before.
ps: My favorite character to play in melee was sandbag *Jump* *Stand* *Jump* |
Meh, I think Nintendo is doing fine with the existing list, maybe add a few more, but those that are already in there should stay. I think Nintendo was trying to limit to trademark characters in many series, which would explain the massive amounts of some of the charactes from some series. If you look at it, most characters come from Mario because they are trademark characters. (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser). Granted, Dr. Mario is a stretch. As far as pokemon go, that should be find as well, Mewtwo, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff are trademark characters (at least in Japan). Pichu is, again, a stretch. Earthbound basically features Ness as the main character. Paula and Poo are justifiable, but not any other characters, as trademark characters. Pit joins us from Kid Icarus, Kirby draws in Metaknight for a strong dose of trademark characters from that series, Marth and Roy are both trademark characeters of Fire Emblem. Two characters should be the maximum for each series, I think, because anymore and it seems to be overrepresented. But what's done is done, what's already there should not be removed in the next game. But granted, adding more Mario Characters or Pokemon is overkill.
|
If that's the case, then not much can be done to change up the formula. All we'll see is prettier graphics, more items, different stages, a few more characters, better music, and most likely the same moves, with some added spice to the mix.
Wait, what am I talking about, that's a good improvement. |
The difference between adding multiple Mario characters is that Mario, Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi all play differently. The difference between Marth and Roy is almost neglegible. The presence of a character should be determined by "Would it be cool to play as this character" and "Would they offer a different gameplay experience from character X" not "We already have a Pokemon so lets add more fire emblem characters". Personally, I thought Ganondorf, Young Link, Roy, Dr. Mario, Falco, etc. Were totally useless as there were other characters who were almost the same.

Like i said before, Ashnard would be cool, but it would make sense to add a hero character from Path of Raidience. I think maybe they should ditch Marth and or Roy and just replace one or both of them with Ike, he's the same character, so all that would change is a character design and a name. But if we're talking bad guys from PoR then i'd say add the Black Knight. He would be the coolest thing ever to play as. Spoiler:

I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but I'd like to see Zora, Goron and Deku Scrub. I originally was thinking of a character similiar to Sheik/Zelda (Able to change between the three in the midst of battle), but now I think they should be their own character. They each have enough distinct ablilities to be indepentant. Also, the argument of "trademark characters" is moot. Characters aren't chosen by popularity, they are chosen by uniquenss. (I realize there were some clones in SSBM....)
