Alrighty, just making sure I wasn't missing something, Otherwise, I would've been all over this like date rape.

Just saved and I'm about 79% done with the SSE. :tpg: Only a little more to go!

Slash Mar 10, 2008 01:03 AM

Alright, so I added everyone in the Wiki to my friend list for Brawl

Josiah Mar 10, 2008 01:28 AM

My 4-team (sometimes in different order):
Spoiler:

Ganondorf
Captain Falcon
Falco
Mario

And my friend code, but I don't need spoilers for that.

3780-8684-0590

EDIT: Wow, finally got in some online random brawls and managed to KO everybody with Ganon's FS. Ahh that was sweet, won the match with that too.

Chaotic Mar 10, 2008 01:35 AM

Also, is it just me or does Ganon look extremely awkward in this game?

Slash Mar 10, 2008 01:36 AM

BRAWL FRIEND CODE

2277-6323-7738

now add me!!! GAHH

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Mar 10, 2008 01:43 AM

3050-7256-1571

Tell me if you added me so I can add you back.

Slash Mar 10, 2008 01:44 AM

I added everyone to my knowledge at least whos posted here and in the wiki

Dr. Uzuki Mar 10, 2008 01:54 AM

3823-8208-4562 :3 I too am wikiless

And I've been adding everybody who have given there numbers. None of you are approving me. :(

I don't know if it's my connection or what, but I have only been able to get one random game going. Every other time I get kicked waiting for others. Sometimes it's a very seconds, sometimes a few minutes. And it's not like there's no one else playing this game right now, so I dunno.

edit: Oh, but I can use the spectator mode with no problems, never have been disconnected once watching a match.

Chaotic Mar 10, 2008 02:19 AM

Finally got done with the SSE. :3:

Now to get the final three characters.

Also, like anyone cares now that Brawl is out, today's update is: Mr. Game and Watch.

The_Griffin Mar 10, 2008 02:38 AM

Spoiler:
My 4-man team is usually Lucario/Lucas/Falco/Pit, but sometimes I switch it up, replacing characters as I get bored with them.

Also, I am in absolute LOVE with Lucas. PK Freeze is everything I wanted PK Flash to be in Melee, his PK Thunder is actually semi-useful as something OTHER than to launch yourself with since it hits multiple times, PK Fire has better range and more power, and his up-smash is a killing MACHINE. The *only* thing I wish he had was less cooldown time after doing the up-smash, and for his down-smash to have one less pulse.

UltimaIchijouji Mar 10, 2008 02:41 AM

I'll post my FC tomorrow. Currently have Snake, Ness, Luigi, and Marth unlocked. I really want to hurry up and get the rest of the characters but SSE is loooong and speed unlocking is boring.

I'm still fairly unsatisfied with the roster but PKMN Trainer Squirtle is fun as hell. I thought Charizard would be my favorite but damn.

Also Wii's wifi range sucks ass, so I'm going to be sad when I go back to college and my Wii can't connect to the internet because the combination of shitty wifi and a shitty antenna don't make for a stable connection.

I don't think he looks too bad, aside from the fact that he runs kinda funny, if that's what you're thinking of. One of the crazier things about him though is that pretty much all of his moves can kill, even his neutral A.

Does anyone else think the Assist Trophies are ridiculously powerful? Like, more than Poke Balls and some maybe even rivaling the FS of some characters?

....And they put Game & Watch up there before Ganondorf? For. Shame. If their pattern was any indication, I believe Ganondorf was next in line. Oh well, not that it really matters much now.

Animechanic Mar 10, 2008 02:44 AM

Ok, got my wireless router functioning. My friend code is:

4124-4692-2568

And so you recognize me, I made my nick Ani.

Chaotic Mar 10, 2008 03:25 AM

Just for future reference since GameFAQs is a horrible place. And for spoiler tag name making fun.

Wolf, Jiggs, and T. Link in SSE:

Toon Link can be found in Stage 9 (The Forest). The new door appears in the first part of the stage. It's pretty obvious.

Wolf can be found in Stage 14 (The Ruins). As mentioned many times before, you can find this door at the WAY end of the stage on the moving platform. Just make sure you wait until it comes to a full stop and disappears. Otherwise, you just killed yourself. <_<

Jigglypuff can be found on stage 18 (The Swamp). The door can be found at the final part of the stage in between two cannons. Should you miss this door, shoot yourself into the water. Remember: Don't drown your character.

And yay. I got all the characters. :3:

Slash Mar 10, 2008 03:28 AM

Heres the "easier" way to get Jiggpuff
Spoiler:

Complete event 20...its much easier

Chaotic Mar 10, 2008 03:32 AM

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but still. I wanted everyone in my SSE Party. So alternate way. <_<

VitaminZinc Mar 10, 2008 05:04 AM

my friend code is 4682-8123-1615

Has anyone already tried if the US version works on PAL with Freeloader or something similar? I'm dying to know whether or not I'll be able to run it that way...

Negatory. You have to complete event 20 AFTER finishing SSE.

Beforehand, it's a no go. Otherwise I'd have had her by now.

I still need her, Toon Link, Wolf, Sonic, ROB, and Mr G&W. I'm only half way through SSE though, so I assume I pick up the last three on that list eventually before I'm done.

I'm going to avoid online for a few days, and hope that part of the latency issues sort themselves out. Even playing 1 on 1 with friends is some lagggggy shit.

Yeah, I'm also wanting confirmation that it's playable with a freeloader. As soon as it's given the all clear I'll have that sucker heading my way so quick it'll make head spin.

To be honest it was less laggy than I thought it was going to be, from the previous online videos I've seen so far, where the game froze skipped like every few seconds, and then just froze for a bit. Though hopefully it'll die down after a few days like what's mentioned, when people get their schedules back on track.

Also apparently Miles hates swordmen, and he liked using the landmaster to annoy the hell out of me. ;_;

Buizel Mar 10, 2008 07:38 AM

Heh, I haven't finish SSE yet. I'm about 60% done. I didn't continue because my cousins, my brother and I spammed Brawl matches so much that we unlock all the characters that way. XD;

Okay, I added the new FC. I got stuff to do *coughworkcough* so my brother might be online in the afternoon and we'll be online in the evening EST. XD

BTW, I wasn't really paying attention to some match but my brother said you kept going after him near the end. Is that true? :tpg:

BTW I saw you were "Seeking Brawl" and I tried connecting many times only to find out an error keep popping up. You might have firewall or ports not forward properly. :/

Oh yeah, I wanted to say another thing about the connection. By now everybody notice the color on the right side of your friend roster. Those are "ping" indicate how well the connection between you and that person. There's five color, starting from best to worst, are Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, and Red. So far I've seen greens and yellows (and one blue because that person/my brother's friend have Fios... damn him). So quit your torrenting/uploading/people-stealing-your-internetz/Comcrap to help get a better connection. XP

Omnislash124 Mar 10, 2008 08:06 AM

So I just got this game yesterday, and played through a bit of SSE, and, I'd have to say, for the first time, I found the story to actually lead somewhere. It's by no means perfect, but it's definitely good that the game has a real story now.

I got to using Marth, Ike, Metaknight (I forget what the scenario was called) since it was already around 12am yesterday and I had class 8am this morning. I noticed something playing with friends though. I found two notable "nerfs" with two characters. Link's clear out move (up+B) has seriously shortened range, as with Marth's sword. I didn't think it was that bad when I saw the video posted earlier, but now that I played it, it's REALLY nerfed in practice.

I also found final smashes to be a bit too abundant in that you could just run around doging everybody and then grab the smash ball whenever it came out and you could probably win a match just by doing that. I usually run away on large stages in melee, picking off weaker people, but even I think this is ridiculous.

Manny Biggz Mar 10, 2008 08:18 AM

My only real issue with the Smash Ball, is that certain characters have a MUCH easier time taking it out than others. This might become an unfair advantage of sorts, but nothing game breaking I think. I really like Bowser in this game. I liked him in Melee too, but something about the way he plays here makes him so much more fun. I think either his damage, or his launch power got beefed up.

Eh, more or less. Kind of a bad decision now that I think about it. I was kinda lagging a little during the match, so some of my movements didn't match up to what was going on on-screen.

Meh, I still need a little more work though. I've pretty much been working with the SSE to unlock everyone so I haven't really dedicated enough time to actually brawling. o_o

Now that I have Wolf, I'll probably be working with him along with Ike and Fox. They seem to be the ones I like to play as.

Or it's that damn Side+B move. <_<
