(I don't want to start a PSO "X" class is better fight, but for my money it was RAcast>RAmarl>RAmar=Racaseal.

If you had someone with Shifta the RAcast's strength is unquestioned. Couple that with the ability to put out Freeze/Confuse traps and it's love.

On the other hand you've got RAmarl who was the best solo class in the game as she could Shifta/Deband herself (AND had Zalure/Jellen I believe), and then had the ranger weapon set.

As for this game I think I'm going to try the same approach. Start out as a RAcast to get my bearings down as I hear universally that Rangers very rarely get hit. Then when I find my damage is suffering I'll change to a hunter class to up my attack stats.

From there I think I'll go all out FOnewearl and become a walking boomstick.

After that I think I'll go to a Beast character who specializes in melee, but still has decent spell casting abilities.

(I never did like the Human classes. I never had a human character throughout my PSO career and it doens't look like I'm going to start now.)

Para Nov 20, 2006 06:42 PM

Casts are a nice class to start out as. Just watch out for techs as those can hurt you well :P

Either way this game isn't all about choosing Fonewearl or RAcast or anything, but its the customization that your character can be anything without having to make another character to do that profession. Of course your character can't be strong in anything but skill is a bigger factor in PSU.

Well, I finally got online. This place is HUGE. Good luck accidentally bumping into anyone.

Currently I'm a Level 5 Cast Ranger Name:Hotobu

Shonos Nov 21, 2006 09:13 PM

Jesus, raising your PM online is alot harder and time consuming than it is offline. It's taking forever to level it up. Guess it doesn't help I have limited funds to use on food too. =/

Those traps that give the quickest levels are 500 a pop. Maybe I should just farm instead..

Manny Biggz Nov 21, 2006 09:33 PM

What are you trying to raise? For striking, I personally use moon atomizers, sol atomizers, scape dolls, and moon atomizer X. Friend gave me all of his too. Was a easy 15 lvls. I'm gonna log on now for a little while. Anyone wanna meet up anywhere?

BIGWORM Nov 21, 2006 10:41 PM

If you start doing B missions, you'll find atomizers freakishly fast.

If you're going for range (sounds like it since you're buying traps), the 500 meseta traps give you +12, but the 100 meseta traps give you +6, so it'll take longer but you'll save a LOT of money doing the 100 traps. Remember that the stat increased is based purely on the star rarity of the type of item, so when you're buying traps, don't buy the "damage" traps, as they're one star ranking lower than the burn/freeze/shock (?) traps.

Hm, that's good info. I've been poking around for a while and I can't find where the hell to go to bind photons to my guns. I'm weak enough as it is without being able to cause status effects.

Gotta buy the discs at the weapon shop first. Then you have to use them in the item list. Then you can link the photon arts to the weapon.

OT: Hotobu did you play gunbound as 'hotobu' back then?

Raising a pure PM is harder... Right now I am raising a pure striking PM... lvl 57 atm.

Lacerta Nov 22, 2006 12:28 PM

Pure Armor PM is the easiest :D It only takes 334 CASTs to complete!

If you're fast enough that is only ~ 12 hours max to make all of those CASTs.

A problem that occurs is the PM storage maxes out at 300 items or so, and you will be unable to stuff anything else in the PM.

At least free parts are better than buying expensive ones, yuck.

That Hotobu is he and he is I. (I should be on an hour after now if you want to try and catch me.... actually just send me a pm it's impossilble to catch anyone and i play in full screen mode and this game can't alt-tab for whatever reason)

Yeah I found some really helpful people last night that showed me how to do the bullet thing. My problem was that I thought the photons I was finding were the bullets. The description was a little misleading :/

So you're saying you remade a chracter 334 times and stripped him of his parts? Well that's true PSU dedication right there.

Yeah, the only problem was feeding the stupid thing took longer than it did to strip the parts, because it has the god awful slowest feeding system ever.

*munch munch* "Hmm, this doesn't taste very fresh..." *munch munch*

:10 seconds later:

*munch munch* "Hmm, this doesn't taste very fresh..." *munch munch*

So I had to miss a day or two due to the 12 hour time frame landing on some unfortunate hour that not even I could stay awake for.

Ahh if you remember.. Im Silfer from GB.

And I started working on an armour PM too XD tedious with the constant creating and stripping.

Manny Biggz Nov 22, 2006 04:09 PM

So does the PM get full after feeding it a certain amount of times, or does it just stop eating at a certain time?

Lacerta Nov 22, 2006 04:21 PM

100 items and it is full for 12 hours.

Kairi Li Nov 23, 2006 01:23 AM

so do cast parts give the PM better armour up? Cause I'm doing the same thing cept using newman clothes.

Lacerta Nov 23, 2006 01:31 AM

Each CAST part is +8 Armor, and there are 3.

The nub armor it comes with is +6 Armor, so one CAST is +30 Armor

DarkMageOzzie Nov 23, 2006 02:16 PM

I know that the PM evolves into the lolibot at level 80, but is that the max production level? Also if I just raise enough striking to get H420 and I put all the rest of my levels into armor, should I still have a pretty decent % for making armor?

Also what effects the production success % for decorations?

Shonos Nov 23, 2006 02:43 PM

100 is the max production level. You can keep feeding it after its final evolution @80.

Kairi Li Nov 25, 2006 12:44 AM

You know what I hate? When you load a boss fight and the game STAYS AT THE BLACK SCREEN!

This happened to me several times and it pisses me off.

Anyone had that problem?

Para Nov 25, 2006 02:55 AM

Never had such a problem.

Kairi Li Nov 25, 2006 03:23 AM

It might be a problem with their servers... Gah, it seems to love happening before the boss fight though... Ah well.

SailorDaravon Nov 25, 2006 11:11 AM

I've never heard of anyone having that problem; it's gotta be something on your end.

Also I just spent 150k on Kubara 6* dualies, why the fuck are 6* items still so hard to get :(
