I'll pick up the Wii at release probably, same for the PS3, between release and Christmas, and eventually i'll get the 360, i'm more or less waiting until its price drops, more games I want get released for it or until my brother buys one and gets bored of it, in which case I get one for free.
|
PS3 and a Wii after they've 1) fixed issues, released new models of both consoles and 2) both dropped prices, and have a selection of games which aren't launch titles.
This reminds me of the quote, "only fools rush in" which makes perfect sense here. |
I will buy a Wii, because I like to play good, fun, innovative, reasonably priced games.
|
I'm supporting Wii and only Wii because if everyone does this we can get the best first party and the best third party games on the 1 system to make gaming more affordable for everyone and improve the industry. There's no way in HELL i'm buying a PS3, so if the next GTA turns out amazing and isn't on Wii, I may end up with a 360, when it's cheap.
|
Seeing as how I already own a 360, I'll most likely grab the Wii. Mainly for next-gen Zelda & Super Smash Bros Brawl. I seriously hope that Brawl has online play as well or heck give us Melee Online, I'll take that. No Sony console once again, I did just fine without the PS2 and I don't see why I would spend money on 1 system when I can purchase 2. Wii+360 here folks. :)

I chose "all", but that ofcause depends of my pockets (my Pc is also my primary, and very expensive gaming station).
I'm going to buy the Wii at launch for sure, also to get into my cube games again as soon as possible (burned my vga box half a year ago) - and I'm not afraid to either, since they'll release that one and only working version from the start, as always. The 360 looks more and more delicious games-wise every day. Nuff said. I'm getting this next, as soon as the competition has nudged the price down a bit. I would want a PS3 too as soon as the price come down to where I wont die from laughing. But if it really turns out so fabulously incredible intergalactic spectacular, as they claim, I want a piece of that cake. But lets see, the price might take some time to get down anyway, and conveniently in time for them to have made the 8th or 9th less buggy edition. (Yeah I know some have never had a single problem, sup Kilroy, but I just don't have that kind of money to spend on luck ;)) |
I will buy a Wii at launch because I know the price will be reasonable. I picked Wii and PS3 because I am still considering getting a PS3, I just will never get one at launch. More than likely I will end up with one a year after launch. It depends on how Sony plays their cards, basically if they drop price, and don't make games too expensive. Baiscally if Sony is not stupid.

I already have a 360. Yet I don't have online so what's the point of having the sytem at all? :(
I will get an online connection to my 360 in a while though. I want a Wii for the colorful happy fun time games. Actually, Boss Ross painting interests me the most out of the Wii Line-up. I don't think I'll be getting a PS3 because it's focusing on realism a bit too much. I NEED happy fun time colorful games. I just do. The PS3 currently has none in it's lineup. :( :( :( |
Well I already got an Xbox 360, bought it like last month. So I'm gonna buy a PS3, either at launch or some time soon after the launch. I doub't I'll get a Wii, and if I do I'd probably buy it if I can find it at a swapmeet for arround 50$ maybe then I'd buy it. The whole wave the controller gimick doesn't appeal to me.

It's just a principle about the whole money-scheme, but I still think the games are well worth it. Each to their own ofcause. |
In the long run, I'm going to own all three of them, so that's what I voted for.
By the end of this year, however, I don't know yet. The Wii looks enticing and cheap, and I'd like to support Nintendo, but there are no games that interest me, save for Crystal Chronicles. If Crystal Chronicles won't be in the launch window, then I won't buy a Wii until it's released. The X360 is the one system I'm definitely going to own, maybe one day this year. They have a pretty good lineup right now, and upcoming titles look much better. The PS3 is the system I want the most, but is also the one I'm probably going to get last. It has the games, it has the hardware, it has the support - the price is the only thing that's stopping me. |

The arcade game selection has me wanting to get online with it. Not to mention that I've never played an online multiplayer game so I really feel like I'm missing something. |

Quite frankly, aside from Brawl and FFXIII, nothing else I've seen so far interests me so I may end up not getting a system at all. I made the mistake of getting a N64 and a PS2 just to play one game, and now they're pretty much collecting dust because I wasn't interested in any of the other games out there. I don't want to do the same again. I'll have to see what other games are coming down the line before I decide.

Most definitely the Wii. Nintendo has become my favorite console company now that (sadly) Sega is defunct. And the fact that I will be able to download the classics, including some faves from the Genesis :D, the reasonable price of the system and of course all the kooky and unnecessary accessories that will surely follow the release!
For me, the Microsoft and Sony systems are far too expensive and really don't bring anything new to the table (that I am aware of anyway) to justify the added costs. I suppose better graphics are neato but that seems too superficial. From what I have seen, Nintendo is less concerned with "uber system specs" and more about creating an enjoyable gaming experience. |
i'm definately getting Wii. it just looks so fun and it's the most affordable. of course i'll try to obtain a broken XBOX360 and PS3 if it's an easy to fix problem but if they don't break easy enough oh well, i'll just have to wait for the prices to come waaaay down (yeah, i'm a cheapass SOB)
|
There are only two games so far that interest me for the PS3. I'll eventually purchase one, but I probably won't do so until more games are released. The Wii is more affordable at the moment, but I'm not in any hurry to pick that one up either.
|
Definitely a PS3 at launch -- I've got 5 games preordered for it already and I know there'll be a ton more later. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6154682.html In short, there are more third-party developers supporting the PS3 than there ever were for the PS1, 2, and PSP. Awesome.
Later on, I plan to get a 360 for Too Human, Enchanted Arms, and Ninety Nine Nights, eventually Blue Dragon as well as any other J-RPG that may get released here. Maybe Vic Ireland's new company will bring some good RPGs over for the PS3 and 360. As for the Wii...maybe later. Right now though, save for Dragon Quest Swords, nothing is enticing me to buy a Wii. :/ |
Nintendo fails to dissapoint with its first party titles, and with this new interface its Wii all the way for me. On a side bar, I can remember cutting school and going to Toys r Us to demo the N64 and its whole new analog control 3d gaming thing. It was both fun and frustrating because I had to "learn" to play video games again, and thats what the Wii feels like to me.
I also know a guy who reserved and bought 3 360's and kept one and sold the others on ebay. I'm heavily consedering doing this for the PS3 launch only with two units. I figure at the very best I'll be getting my PS3 for free. Even though there won't be any games I want for at least a year. |
Wii.
There's no denying, Wii is out to conquer the world. There's a rumor that the Wii-mote is actually the extension of God's finger. But in all seriousness, I don't think I can be a hardcore gamer for too much longer. College studies demand my time and getting a PS3 would not help me out there. I often contemplating not going next gen because it will be expensive and I am also an old skool gamer. We'll see what happens though. |
Wii, please.
The price seems fair (200-300 dollars), the upcoming titles are already awesome, I can play older Nintendo games on it (downloadable), it has complete backwards compatibility for Gamecube, I can play games online with it, it can play music and DVDs, the controller is motion sensitive. I think that about sums it up. :D Actually, the reasons I'm not getting the other consoles are because they're too expensive to begin with, and there's not that many appealing games to me. But what do I know, I never pay attention to Microsoft/Sony news. =/ |

But never played an online game? Dude! I understand your reasons fully =o |
The Wii is the cheapest, but I'll buy it second (unless the games available at release are dripping with awesome sweat meat). I'll definitely aim to purchase a 360 since I'm interested in a bunch of games for the system. The problem lies in saving enough money without wanting to splurge it all on stuff to tide me over til the Wii's release date.
Now, the PS3 is a system I'm dying to get, but the price (along with the reported release date titles) are a major turn-off. Moreso the price. There is no way in hell I'm shelling out that much for a system at one time. If by some miracle I can get it for free through some mindless contest, then god frickin' bless. To think I bitched about the 360's price when it was first announced. in before sony elitists and 'if u can afford this then u should afford that lol |
I might buy a Wii if I find the new controls are really fun. Also interested in playing retro games on the system. The PS3 of course is the console I want most but it's just too expensive to buy anytime soon.
|
I'll definitely be getting the 360 sometime in the future. That system is really impressing me with its library of games, including original franchises. Go Microsoft! Hmmm, never thought I'd say that.
The Wii is another system I'll be getting as well. I can't pass up on the system and the established games will obviously be great, I just hope that developers do take full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii and don't make it a dumping ground of gimmicks. The PS3? Eh. Right now it is down right unexciting. I'd need to pop Viagra pills in order to get the blood flowing for it. There are not any exclusive games that I want. The price is a wallet eater. There is nothing new about it other than the fact that it now has wireless controls, yet no rumble feature. Plus the system is butt ugly. Of course the 360 isn't much better, at least the controller rocks. |
