Normally I wouldn't really care, as I'm sitting almost on top of my television. (Radiation damage in my ass, lol...)

But I must say I've fallen in love with the 360 controller. I don't have to think about wires and I love the fact that I can stand in another room and still control a game. Yes, completely useless, but dang I love it!

Two words: Wave and Bird.

Wireless. Use the 360 controller for a while and everyone will want to switch their votes over.

Not even a comparison.

No doubt this debate raged on in the 1920s "Do you prefer Horse and cart or cars! Dammit I can never be bothered refuelling my car this is too difficult!"

Wireless are better, but they cost to much.

Wireless, mostly for the wavebird, but also for the upcoming Revolution controllers. Those would DEFINITELY not work wired!

I prefered wired controllers back when I lived at home but now that I reside in a small, dinky apartment, too many wires make me fear of fire hazards. Also untangling all that shit when people come over to play Smash Brothers is just annoying.

Gamecube has the only decent wireless controllers. I have yet to invest in a 360 so I'm not sure of that yet.

I prefer wired controllers, but there are times when a wireless controller is nice, and especially when playing on a large screen television, where playing close just doesn't do it for me.

Wired simply because that's what i am used to and what's the point in wireless? Unless you're going to try and play a game whilst in another room or if you're gonna start jumping around everywhere. I know they give you more freedom but when i play a game i tend to just sit still. You also can't throw controllers as far across the room when they're wired so theres less chance of damage if i get pissed off for some reason

That's not true, PS2 & PC both have a great wireless controller, and Xbox has a good one, the only problem is the controller design isn't that good. Those are all Logitech brand. The Xbox 360 wireless controller is also great. The Wavebird is good, but it has no force feedback, which sucks. The wireless controllers I have work every bit as good as the Wavebird, but also include force feedback. They work every bit as good as wired controllers too.

I prefer wired controllers, mostly because I'm used to them and I'd hate to run out of batteries at a really bad time. Even though the TV I normally play on is large, I can still reach the couch with a wired controller and not be sitting close. As for the other times, a wireless would be pretty pointless since my television is about two feet away from me.
