BTW, is anyone else experiencing some bugginess with the flag section? Some people have larger ones than others. It only seems to happen in Internet Explorer; Firefox is fine with it.

We had to keep it simple for the benefit of all the idiots in the colonies. The real English flag is far more grandiose and a closely guarded secret, known only by true English gentlemen.

The Union Jack is the flag of The United Kingdom. Each of the constituent countries; England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and each of the little islands has their own flag.

The English flag is the George Cross, the symbol used by the crusaders when they were off killing turks and jews. Scotland's flag is a white diagonal cross on a blue field, Wales' flag is a red dragon on a green and white field and so on. The Union Jack (Or Union Flag as it was renamed at the height of political correctness) is an amalgamation of all the individual ones only with Wales' represented by a diagonal red cross.

Most of the colonies that feature our flag use the Union Jack as they were invaded by the UK, not just England. Some use the George Cross though.

The diagonal red cross represents Ireland, not Wales. Wales isn't even represented on the Union Flag, since it was ruled as part of England for centuries before the Union was created.

Hahahahaha, really? I always thought it was Wales. I knew Wales became a country in it's own right far more recently than the rest but I thought it was before the union.
