Yeah, it did. Even if this one has that though, I'll still probably wait until the Amercan version comes out, just to have the manual and stuff in English.
|
Since this game has received such positive hype in this forum, I decided to get it. And you guys were right, PW:AA is awesome! I laughed so hard when that Sawhit guy threw his toupe at Phoenix at the end of the first case.
Looking forward to the sequel BIGTIME. |
Damn. I didn't realize Phoenix Wright was so good. I think...I think I'm going to have to hunt for it now. The fact that you yell "Objection!" into the mic is amazing.
|
I see they have really upgraded the gfx and UI yes awesome ~_~.
PW is cool, i just hope the sequel is much harder then the first one. |
Gonna bump the thread to let everyone know that pre-orders over at Play-Asia are in progress. You can pre-order Gyakuten Saiban 2 (Phoenix Wright 2) for $29.90 + $2.60 shipping and the first batch of pre-orders will receive a sticker set with it.
It has a full English translation (as the first one did) and is region free, so this really isn't a bad deal to grab this version ahead of time and then the US version later on down the line to boost sales in the US to keep them coming. |
You know, I haven't even gotten the first one yet. I was having trouble finding anywhere that had it (not that I looked too hard), so when I saw it on Amazon while I was ordering my copy of Mario Hoops, I snagged a copy. Now I just have to wait like a' whole 'nother week.
But if it is as good as everyone says it is, I might as well just order this now. |
I can guarantee you that you will not spend a better $32 when you pre-order the game. I still pop in the first one and play it all the time even though I've beaten every case a great number of times.
|
I suggest people to wait for the US version, Capcom America has to get enough profit so they can translate the 3rd one, pick up the Japanese version only if you can't wait for one or two more months, or if you can spend $30 more to purchase the English version when it's released here in order to support Capcom...
|
I have to agree about the first game. Best thirty bucks I've EVER SPENT. Literally. I was giggling like a schoolgirl half the time I was playing it. :p
And I am SO PRE-ORDERING THIS. <333333333333 |
HOLD IT!
American version to have added content (like the first one), so don't go preordering the import! |
So buy both of them. You get your game early and you support the US sales along with being able to play the new version with new content.
Problem solved. |
I don't think they'd release it in Japan without that extra episode, guys. The game is out on GBA after all. What's it worth to just port it to DS just for a touch screen interface if they already have the game? I'm betting this is just news that the game will have a new episode. It doesn't say that the Japanese aren't getting this new episode as well.
However, I do strongly agree that you should buy the US release of this game so that we can get the 3rd and 4th games over here too even if you do decide to import it to play it early. |
Eh, I'm not too big on importing, and I'm not impatient either, so I'll just wait for it to come out here. I know it has the English version in it as well, and regardless of the extras being included in it, I just can't justify buying the Japanese version and then the American version as well. Aside from owning two copies of the same game (which is pretty ridiculous), I could always just use that money to buy another game to keep me busy until then (I already have plenty of games though, I was just using that as an example).

Of course, because clearly it would cost the same amount of money to buy both Gyakuten Saiban 2 and Phoenix Wright 2 as it would to buy a brand new PS3. Not to mention the three to four month distance between the respective releases.
I'm planning on nabbing the US version when it releases as well, then either giving or selling the import (or whichever I prefer) to someone who hasn't yet experienced the greatness that is Phoenix Wright. Of course, this also takes into account that I'm not buying any of the newer two next gen consoles (nor will I buy a 360) when they release either. My policy has always been to let the consoles simmer a year or two and gain momentum before I invest in them. Therefore, I'll have quite a bit of extra money in my pocket to use for something like this. |
And, unfortunately, I am not in the same position. Allow me to rephrase my comment.
I don't have enough money to throw around to buy the same game twice. |

NO version will have additional content. The Japanese release will be the same as the US release. While a new case would have been nice, and of course this won't change too many people's plans, there's no reason to hold back on the import outside of sales. and quite honestly, I'll take whatever I can get since supply will be low and demand high again |
Aww, that sucks, but like you said, I have no plan to change my plans. I preordered the first game a couple of months before it came out here, and I'll probably do the same thing with this one.

No more spraying luminol fluid at every crime scene in the bonus case? :( |
Guys, I imagine Capcom will allow you to preorder the game off of their website again like last time.
I got a whole mess of free goodies when I did that for the first game. It was very righteous. :megaman: |

Just checked, and there's nothing so far about pre-ordering on Capcom's website only this lone press release:
