I would just like to say how much I like this game also.
But I would just like to say somthing strange I found out. I have a demo of Gitaroo man, that came free with a PS2 magazine where I live. It is the "Flyin to your heart level", but the song sounds slighlty different. The music sounds the same, but it seems to have a different singer. Does anyone else know anything about this? |
There was a demo disk? <_<
|
I had the demo before I bought it, so yes.

Yes, that's it! Thanks for clearing that up. |
Ah yes, I managed to snag a copy of the English Flyin' To Your Heart after looking at link on the gamefaqs msg board if anyone's interested (The previous link doesn't seem to be allowed :s)
|
Eh?
Works fine for me. Copy/paste the link. |
I just bought the game last week for a sweet $35, and I'm pretty pleased with it. One thing's for sure though: I'm terrible at it. I can barely manage a 'C' grade when I pass a stage the first time. Only after I beat it can I go back and do something better.
It's a fun game, but it is VERY hard. At least I think it's hard. Actually, its difficulty reminds me of how Ninja Gaiden was impossible at first, but then easily doable the second time through. |
New Gitaroo-man!

Oh my god. I guess this basically confirms that I'll eventually need to get a PSP, since Gitaroo Man doesn't need to be in english to understand what you're doing.
Along with Loco Roco, Me and My Katamari and a couple of other PSP games, it's very tempting now. But fuck that, Gitaroo Man is going to force people to buy PSP's. Not like it isn't going to be worth it in the long run, though. |
ok I got this demo (from the may OPM issu) and god even at easy I can't finish the song >.> it's so hard to follow line >.<
but I like the song and it still fun. I might buy the psp version ^^ |

I can't belive this is coming out on May 25th. They must have been working on this in secret for a long time! |
arg I dont understand this game >.> I push the button at the right moment and it give me a miss and even if my stick is in the right way and I push the button a t the right moment I get a good but after that it miss even if I'm still holding the button >.> this is too hard... I guess i'll just take the OST to enjoy the music >.>
|
Gitaroo Man is one of the most difficult music games I've ever encountered, it just takes practice. As I mentioned before, listening to the OST helps with your gameplay, most of the time.
Wait until you complete the game, and unlock Master's Mode. It takes people literally months just to pass a single song. Not that Gitaroo Man isn't a friendly game, but it's definitely isolated to someone who doesn't involve themselves in music games very much. My only suggestion would be to continue practicing, and you'll get through it. The Gitaroo Man for PSP is sounding quite interesting. How will it work out with the analog stick? Everyone said that Katamari on the PSP would be terrible without dual analog sticks, but I've heard nothing but positive news from people. |
ok so the game is difficult >.> I though I was doing something wrong but it seam that you have to be VERY precis in this game >.<

This is seriously nice box art. The japanese launch date is set in May, 2006. It'll be $48 US to import. |
I don't know how it can be translated effectively without an analog stick. I liked how it was only part button-mash. But if it still retains the gameplay of the original, I may consider a PSP purchase eventually.

Godamnit, now I have to buy an expensive PSP ;____; But thanks for the box art! It's so beautiful and Gitarooy!! (Oh, and can you play Japanese PSP games on American PSPs?) Quote:
EDIT: Oh! I have another question for those who play versus mode: Is it possible for both sides to get to the "Final" part? In my understanding, whoever has the most health gets into the Final, but wat if both sides have equal health? >_<;; Uunfortuntely, I don't have a lot of friends who are good at Gitaroo Man yet, so I haven't been able to test it (and when I play versus mode against the computer, I usually lose TT^TT;; ) |
Weehoo, that's some nifty box art. I'm glad I snagged a PSP :)
I'm just scared that even with the analog nub being used for the directions that it will be nowhere near as accurate as on the ps2. If you had to always make sure you were perfectly holding in the right direction, then it would definitely be harder on the PSP's nub. |

Looks like a remake instead of a full blown sequel.
|
A remake? I was questioning if this was a new game because I saw all the same faces on the coverart but man... I hope this does well enough that it gets an actual sequel this time.
Why does everything look really blurry and empty compared to the original game? |
