I'm in love with 'Storm in a Tea Cup'.

chato May 2, 2006 05:23 PM

Cirno May 2, 2006 06:03 PM

Buy the CD, guys. I know this is gonna be the first CD i'll be getting in quite a while. I did sneak a listen to it via interweb... and pretty much all the tracks rock hard. I don't see why Flea's so upset though, most people who downloaded it are going to buy it anyway, right? An album of this quality surely.

Wall Feces May 2, 2006 09:17 PM

I'm going to pre-order it on iTunes so I get get some pre-sale tickets! Anybody else here planning to do that?

omglasplagas May 2, 2006 10:49 PM

Oh I was gonna buy it anyways. I think I've purchased every rhcp album since BSSM.

I just didn't wanna wait.. (a few more days?)

Most people? Probably not. But I'm considering getting the special edition, even though I usually don't buy albums either.

I probably won't buy the record if I could download it. So, wrong. I can see why Flea is upset.

Hah.

Also, Flea should learn what punctuation is.

Rock May 3, 2006 06:04 AM

€ 19,99? Amazon.de (Germany) sells Stadium Arcadium for € 17,95.

Already pre-ordered, too. The Album is awesome.

Tell Me Baby is my favorite song without a doubt. So melodic.

Hey, it's artistic expression. He writes e-mails like other people write poetry.

Grawl May 3, 2006 06:59 AM

Is that a reason to write I as i?

Aardark May 3, 2006 02:32 PM

Yes, it's hip and modern.

Grawl May 3, 2006 03:21 PM

i see

I would probably do that but RHCP is going to play two shows near me, so if one gets sold out I'll just go see the other one. :edgarrock:

I doubt I'll buy it. If I really like a couple tracks I might get them on iTunes, but otherwise I can only afford to buy the more obscure albums that I can't download. Those tend to be more worth the money anyway.

SketchTheArtist May 5, 2006 05:21 PM

Hey guys, just wanted to ask.

I've been a RHCP fan since I was little. Ever since my old cousin gave me UPLIFT MOFO PARTY PLAN on tape (Which I still think is one of the best rock album ever).

The thing is, I'm not really into the rest of their albums, up until SEX, BLOOD, SUGAR and MAGIK, they were unbeatable, crazy, psychotic rockers. But ever since ONE HOT MINUTE they kinda lost it for me.

I just wanted to know, is there really two groups of people; the ones that loves the old and funky Peppers and the ones who prefer the new sound?

Or is there an in-between?

Matt May 6, 2006 01:56 AM

Oh yeah Sketch, definitely.

Take me for example. I don't really enjoy their old stuff at all. Most of their stuff that predates "Give it Away Now" is totally beyond my musical tastes.
It's not that it's bad by any means, it's just that I don't like it.

Yeah, I was wondering since the two styles are pretty much different even though they're both rock.

I prefer there old funky style, all the way back to 'True men don't kill coyote".

There aren't many songs on the album that sound like their old albums, but the song 'Storm in a Teacup' could fit straight onto one of their older albums. Perhaps 'Readymade' too. Next to that, it's more like the album Californication.

Grubdog May 6, 2006 08:43 AM

They've pretty much re-invented themselves again I think. This is the ultimate RHCP album! Wet Sand is my favourite song on it at the moment.

Living Legend May 26, 2006 02:47 PM

Red Hot Chili Peppers-Dani california Rip off?

That was just recently found by me on the internet so I thought I would post it.

I have listened to album many times and I have yet to get tired of it, so many great songs were released on both the albums. There isn't one song that I actually dislike much.

Speaking of the cd though one of my friends bought a 60 dollar version of it, it came with a dvd/booklet/awesome looking case it was quite a package. Did any of you happen to get a nice version like that?

Grawl May 26, 2006 03:06 PM

Haha, man that is so lame. (the link)
