Beta patch is out. Still having some problems but seems generally better than before, Ranked is largely playable now. It has now separately introduced a bit of weird issue where it likes to freeze OUTSIDE of the actual match (in the matchmaking selection and search screens). In-game seems to be improved though, I played (and got wrecked largely) about 10 or so matches and I think I only had 2 significant lag/freeze spikes whereas I was getting at least one a match before. Generally speaking reports are all over the place, seems better for some folks but a lot of people are saying it's no better, so who knows.
Also supposedly only beta players can play with beta players, but it seems to just be filtering ranked/endless searches that way; a friends endless lobby who isn't in the beta won't show in a search, but you can manually join or be invited to it and it works. Honestly I wouldn't see any reason not to opt in though. |
We were discussing another idea last night. If you lose to El Fuerte, you have a burrito added to your tally. Meet 2015 is nothing but burritos and Burgers.

I believe the Fuerte Corollary applied only to Diner matches as well. That is to say, losing to Fuerte on Diner will get you a burger AND a burrito, whereas losing to Fuerte elsewhere does not earn a burrito at all.
There have been no Diner losses to Fuerte as yet. No one has endured The Complete Shame. |

I think we need nicknames for people with burgers:
BURGER KING - "King of the Burgers" - Whoever has the most burgers at any given time. Right now Diss is the Burger King. Please let that be noted for our posterity. Then it goes down in obvious descending order: BURGER QUEEN, BURGER JACK, TEN OF BURGERS, etc. The "winner" would end up being ACE OF BURGERS so that's cool. Everyone gets a nickname and is humiliated for even playing. |
Wait... the person who wins the Diner battle gets to be the ACE OF BURGERS or is that the person who has the most burgers over-all by the time meet comes or the person who has the least burgers over-all by the time meet comes? I'm unclear about this.
