My inability to obtain a preorder for the fucking 3DS itself is burning my balls.
|
You could combine your efforts since preorders are still open on Gamestop's website for the Fire Emblem 3DS bundle with artbook.
|
Maybe so. Skills knows how much I love art books!
|
I'm just glad there's no Circle Pad Pro tampographed with the logo, lest you demand that instead.

That's what I get for ordering from a decent shop. :(

Won't matter too much longer now; the game comes out Monday. You guys been reading up at all? Not that it makes any difference, but critics have been hilariously gushing over how good it is.
"a non-negotiable addition to your 3DS library" "if Fire Emblem: Awakening was a dick, I'd suck it" "a must-play from just about every conceivable angle" "Fire Emblem: Awakening stands near the pinnacle of the series" One of these may have been made up, but the point stands. As a guy who's played every entry, I can assure you this is, in fact, the shit. |
Well, as some of you may have found out, Nintendo fudged something in shipping, and so the game did not come out today. Most places are expecting it in by Saturday at the latest, though it could be in tomorrow. Oh, the anticipation.
|
I managed to pick up Fire Emblem today, but barely. My Gamestop had been told that they might receive enough copies for preorders today and the rest on Friday, but Nintendo ended up not even sending enough to cover all the preorders. They gave me my artbook when I went by yesterday. It's nice, though very, very small.
Can't wait to start this up when I get home tonight. |
Got my copy after driving around a bit. Several GameStops treated me like some sort of pox for not preordering, so I went to a Best Buy. Incompetents playing on smartphones while on the clock, but at least the company believes in things like... inventory.
Anyway, the game's still pretty fresh in my memory, and it's still so good. Up to Mission 3 now. |
Grabbed my copy from work. We only got two copies - one was a prepay, the other was free to whoever, so I yoinked it up real quick.

Tritoch and I have been having a good time quoting Frederick and Kellam. The writing has been quite good.
"Alright, listen up. ...Especially those of you who BROUGHT weapons!" Also, the first paid DLC is up-- Champions of Yore 2, which completion of nets you Roy (joins as a Hero). $2.50. Oddly, there is a bundle for all three Champions of Yore DLC, even though Champions 1 is still free for a month or two and Champions 3 isn't available yet. Bundling will save you roughly $3.50 once Marth becomes paid DLC and Champions 3 is released. |
Kellam has a lot of great lines, but Virion's quotes are still my favorite so far. Well, after Frederick. Pretty much everything Frederick says is gold.

Shocking that Tritoch would like the guy making terrible puns!
I like him too SpotPass has also been updated. Nergal from Fire Emblem had always been there, but now there's also Lyon from Sacred Stones, and the sword Tyrfing from Genealogy of the Holy War. I also looked up who the third person was from the Champions of Yore pack-- Micaiah. So, maybe don't spring for that bundle pack so quickly. In a few weeks we should get Leif and, more importantly, Alm and the Demon Hunter class. Better level up for that map, because that shit can destroy you. |
