all right. i had interpreted as +10% of your base WS, so 40 would become 44 and not 50. so long as we're all on the same page, though, either way is fine.
|
Hawkeye, you don't need to roll for hit location, you just reverse the digits of your hit roll, e.g. if you roll a 12 to hit, the hit location is 21.
Additional Spam: Pang, for the sake of keeping things moving, can we take it that if you adopt a parrying stance then you want to parry the first thing swung at you, unless you're fighting two enemies of which one clearly hits much harder? That way you can roll parries and don't have to wait for us to do it. |
Just FYI don't attack the green one anymore, Daz basically lopped his arm clean off and he's bleeding out.

I'm working at camp this coming week, so i won't be around much. I'll try to check in every other evening or so, but if combat breaks out it might be a good idea to let someone else take my turns.
|
WFR has rules for drunk combat and by God I'm going to use them.
|
I take it that in our various asleep or drunken states we have no choice but to wait for Deni to do something?
|
So it would seem. I'm going to give it another day or so before Kaz decides he's just seeing things and the guy gets away with all your money.
|
Sorry, y'all. Deni got super busy with work for a few days but he's back now.
|
Goddamnit, Hawkeye. Don't you know the introduction to the next plot point when you see him?
|
I'm not sure about the railroading thing, Pang. I think i've made it clear that Daz just wants out of the city at this point, but being incapable of communicating with 80% of the group makes it difficult for him to actually go about accomplishing anything towards that goal short of outright ditching the rest of the party. Someone else is going to have to take charge to find a reason to keep the group together.
|
Done. Assuming a miracle occurs and he survives that long, my next career choice for Yarogni would be Fence then onwards to Crime Lord so wanting to set up a new criminal empire in town serves as decent enough motivation for the group to stick together, even if the others don't realise that's what his plan is.
Also I post a hundred times more than you lot so I don't mind rolling the story along. :) |
If someone needs to do something with my character before Monday, I give...Garr the ability to play my character, if he wants it. Shin if Garr says "nah fuck dat"
|
Is this 1st, 2nd or 3rd edition?
|
It's 2nd, like it's been 2nd the last 10 times someone has asked me. :(
(some of the 3rd party materials use stuff from 1st but they're 90% compatible) Additional Spam: unless you're referring to the map specifically? in which case, same answer |
I was referring to the books, as I've finally got some time to read them this weekend. So 2nd it is. Mostly curious as to what vocations were open to me.

Also, Pang, can I invoke Shallya's mercy to bump my weapon skill up to 41, or did you already use that during my character creation? |

Nope, if it was applied to strength instead I'm cool with it.
|
We need a wizard in the party, if only for comedy effect when they go mental and get attacked by demons when trying to light a camp fire with magic.
|
Dwarf. Best I can offer is rune guy. And that's all safe and shit.

So, shopping. WFRP has an availability/scarcity system, which means that sometimes you'll have the money and you'll go the shop and what you want just straight up isn't there. Nuln is a huge city (pop. 85,000) and a fairly cosmopolitan place, so getting hold of certain things is a lot easier than it might be elsewhere.
Of course, even if something is for sale somewhere, it's highly impractical to poke your head into every door in the city until you find it. You'll have to ask around, via a Gossip test. Since you're all pretty much cooperating right now, you can use the highest Gossip skill in the party: Bulkbelly's 51. Due to the nature of Nuln, nothing is harder to find than a Challenging test (-10%, or 41 using Bulkbelly's gossip talents). Some things are very easy to find (Common) which in Nuln is a Very Easy test (+30%, or 71 using Bulkbelly); anything more common than that (Plentiful or Abundant) is an automatic success, so if you need something Plentiful or Abundant just declare that you buy it. (of course, most Plentiful/Abundant items are things like rags or sticks) There are way too many charts in the Equipment section to reproduce here, so kindly refer to Chapter V of the Core Rulebook if you downloaded it for a full review of what's available and at what commonalities. If you didn't, just give me a good idea of what you're looking for and I'll handle it for you. (Things like, say, maps of a specific minor locale will obviously have to be handled on a case-by-case basis anyway.) |
I take it that when we come to buy stuff, Yarogni can haggle in Daz's stead? I think he's better at it but I've not actually checked.
|
Daz is brutal at haggling. Or anything Fellowship related in general. He's really the perfect henchman - can't be coerced by others since he can't understand them anyway, takes orders in a language no one knows. If only his prairie boy personality lined up with such a mode of work.
That said, i'm hoping to get him to learn Reikspiel ASAP. It's sort of a pain to have to get other people to do things which involve talking (which, in a city, means most things other than chopping off limbs) |
OK Given that I haven't had the internet for about 2 and a half weeks and I'm really not having much free time with my new job I'm going to have to step out of the game.
No point in me clogging up a slot when someone who's active can use it better. Dispose of my character as you will. |
Sorry to hear that, Cette. I just assumed Bulkbelly was being quiet due to a lack of appropriate slaughtering targets. :(
No need to fill the slot right away anyway since we were only at 6 players due to (circumstances). Quote:
