I don't mind it sans for the worst name joke known to man. My middle name is Yusuke and you would be suprised how many times people pull the corniest joke with saying " you suck " instead of yusuke.

Shinka Apr 13, 2006 03:15 PM

i dont really like my middle name, though i dont really hate it either.

Rockgamer Apr 13, 2006 03:34 PM

I don't mind my middle name at all, except for the fact that my dad got it from some football player (It's Torrean, by the way). I don't really use it, and not many people know it, but I don't really try to hide it or anything. My mom calls me Torry sometimes, but not often enough that I would say it's a nickname or anything.

David Deluxe Apr 13, 2006 03:38 PM

I know that my full name is David Thomas, but hardly anybody knows that I have a middle name. It's not like I hate my name, but it's nothing special. However, it could be worse, having a name like "Heinz-RĂ¼diger", "Karl-Otto" or whatever.

I poked it and it made a sad sound Apr 13, 2006 03:38 PM

My middle name is Jacqueline. And I rather like it. I usually sign my name "Danielle J. Bourdon," since it looks more sophisticated. And awesomer.

The middle name is from my god mother, (my aunt - uncle's ex-wife) Jacqueline. I hear she's a real bitch.

Hmmm, my middle name is sorta abandoned. I used to love it a lot but a years passed I slowly forgot I even had one. I think it's Sinclare and when I started signing money orders, checks, etc my middle name would be included. I noticed though that lately, it's just my first and last name. *shrugs*

No. Hard Pass. Apr 13, 2006 03:49 PM

I love my middle name. Michael. I almost always use my initial when signing my name, and atop that, it just mixes so well with my first name. My first name, Lucas, is from the Hebrew for Bringer of Light, or Lucifer. My middle name, Michael, is the arch-angel who heads god's army in the fight against satan. I love being convoluted. I'm not a hypocrite, I'm just named that way.

My middle name is like, every girl of my generation's middle name: Nicole. I know four other girls with the same one. :(
And I hate being called "Nic" or "Nikky." It's just not my personality.

I've always been wondering: why do people (English speakers seem to have it more opftent) have middle names when they never use it?

In my case, my "middle" name is actually fully integrated to it (very popular in French). However, when I was younger, people made stupid puns about it. Luckily, they grew up :D

I don't mind my middle name. It's simply my mother's maiden name, and it actually makes my initials a bit unique.

starslight Apr 13, 2006 04:01 PM

My middle name is Charles. It's not ideal, but I hardly ever have to tell it to anyone, anyway.

Izlude Apr 13, 2006 04:33 PM

Patrick. I love it.

I was absolutely determined to name my youngest child Robinson, but everyone threatened that they would just call him "Rob" if I did, including my husband, so I figured why waste such an awesome name if no one is even going to use it.

Anyway, Robinson is pretty much my favorite man's name.

Wall Feces Apr 13, 2006 05:08 PM

Albert.

No thanks. Atleast they didn't make that my first name like they were thinking of.

WraithTwo Apr 13, 2006 05:10 PM

L is my middle name, and I fucking love it. There aren't a lot of people with a single letter for a name. My last name rocks too, simply because the word "Shank" is in it. It's my first name thats the problem :(

My middle name's Iris Ann. It's comprised of my Grandmother on my dad's side's first name and my grandmother on my mom's side's middle name. I never had anything aganst them...not to mention I kind of like the names together....

Acro-nym Apr 13, 2006 06:24 PM

I rather like my middle name. It just sort of rolls off the tongue when included with the rest of my name. It works. More importantly, since it isn't a terribly common name, I get to make people guess it. I would say that 90% of the time they guess some form of Chris first...

Yeah same here. It's common of the Filipinos to do that.

Mine's cool. I like it. It's Galang, which is Tagalog for "respect" I think.

At one point in my time here in college, a small bunch of us pinoys dubbed ourselves the Galang Unit. Liek wut? We had shirts and stuff.

Galang is also M.I.A.'s most well-known single.

I think that's about it for my middle name.

Ryuu Apr 13, 2006 06:39 PM

My middle name is Anthony. I have no problem with it at all, and I actually quite like it.

kupomog Apr 13, 2006 06:43 PM

Yeah, I like it, it sounds nice and it has a meaning, even if it's utterly simple. My grandma gave almost all of her kids Japanese names (something her mom did), but I think only my mom, one uncle, and one aunt did the same for their kids. My middle name is Haruko, because I was born in the spring. I always thought it was a nice name because none of my friends could ever find a way to make fun of it like they did with my given name.

J-Man Apr 13, 2006 06:51 PM

Mine is Cole.....

I hate it so much, makes me sound like some country-western dude-ranch fag or something :(

Dalkaen Apr 13, 2006 07:10 PM

My middle name is Clay. I'm sort of indifferent to it, I guess. I never use it much, so it doesn't seem to represent me that well. Plus, it only sounds good when you use the full version of my first name. Zachary Clay Reid sounds remarkably less awkward than Zack Clay Reid..

Mercury Blue Apr 13, 2006 07:48 PM

I don't have a middle name. :| I feel so left out...

:(

nanashiusako Apr 13, 2006 07:58 PM

My middle name is Ann. Aside from being boring, it's alright. I don't like my first name, though. =(
