I guess my move would be to heal whomever is injured.

Well, if that's what you think your character would want to do then sure, heal someone. Don't ever, ever feel like you should do the right thing though.

Haha, someone should totally play a healer who's scared of blood.

Nice to see that buying someone a drink is still a reliable way to get information.

Just a little note for the party: I know I'm pushing pretty hard to go after the cult, but if you guys disagree, or think that another adventure sounds more interesting, don't be afraid to say so in game or in the strategy thread. I don't want to make you guys feel like you're just tagging along as I go off on my crusades against the undead. My vision for Daituk is that he's going to have a bit of a one track mind for slaying undead, but if the rest of the group disagrees with him he'll do the reasonable thing and submit to the will of the many.

Stop Sign has already hinted that he might prefer going towards the keep exploration mission, so feel free to let it be known if that would suit you guys more.

LOL okay, first. My character is a shadow form like character. It has absolutely no business being in an inn. Much less making small talk with anyone. :)

Second, I said as her character in the first post that she'll just follow you wherever you go. Shorty though, I have no idea if she still wants me to cover for her or not. I imagine she'll be feeling better soon. Anyway, apologies for not posting since, I saw it as a much needed break for myself (away from the internets for the weekend).

Oh, all right. I knew that your character was most likely not going to be party leader from your first post as well as reading your backstory, but I thought she might still be able to offer advice or try and help the party along with the exploration on occasion. ;)

I didn't know Shorty wasn't feeling well, sorry about that. Obviously her health and well-being takes precedence over a silly internet game. Your own as well, I hope your break did you some good! :D

Philia Nov 9, 2010 01:03 PM

OH I wanted to for perceptive checks but apparently my perceptive stat sucked or something. And lol me a newbie giving advice. I'd not know where to start. If anything you're more experienced of all of us so its no surprise that we're just sort of following you.

Dark Nation Nov 10, 2010 02:21 AM

I was wondering, while we are given a few side quests, would it be out of line to, later on, invent a personal goal that the character might be going for? Daituk is at this point all about wiping out the undead, but perhaps he also wants to, uh... find a cure for his child who became a zombie, or something? (total random sample example).

Regarding the issue brought up by Rychord: My character is thematically (for lack of a better word) up for both exploration AND cult-crushing, since he is a Monk and a Sorcerer at the same time.

No. Hard Pass. Nov 10, 2010 02:27 AM

I understand there is one great cure for zombies.

Shotgun to the face.

And if that doesn't work?

Another shotgun to the face.

I don't think Truckbus cares where he adventures as long as he can satisfy his dwarven need for gold and his just plain weird need for being weird.

And speaking of that, DN, I have honestly no idea what I'm doing with Truckbus either, but I'm just gonna make it up as I go along. :tpg: I don't think anyone's gonna have a problem with you finding another motivation for Zeno.

so, what is the plan for moving forward here? I see that so far you guys want to be heading into the waterfall, so should we all go for it? I'm asking because it would probably be a good idea for us to not get separated, but I don't know how long it will take for some of us to actually get across the waterfall (for example I'll have to roll 14 to get through, and Thia will need a straight 15).

Stop Sign Feb 13, 2011 10:35 AM

(I'd forgotten about this thread!)

From looking at the map, the waterfall entrance is at most 5 squares away from either entrances, so I can move my speed to catch up with the rest of the group if I need to. So being separated may not be that bad, but I'm not sure that the group should go through all 3 entrances.

I guess that's not a bad idea, but if you get accosted by a few monsters as soon as you enter the cave behind the waterfall, that might not be so easy to do.

Of course, if we all decide collectively to go into the waterfall entrance, there would probably be a way that those of us who have a high enough endurance could help the rest of us get across the waterfall.

That's a good idea, actually. I'll amend my post to reflect that.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Feb 14, 2011 09:36 PM

I am just going to stick my head on a pole around the corner and ask them to come out one by one as a bluff, and then we can ready and pounce 'em.

Thoughts on this?

i am good at jokes Feb 14, 2011 10:06 PM

That could also work.

I mean, it was obviously a toss up between all of us gettin' real wet together in that waterfall or a combination of head on a stick and Prime's mad ventriloquist skills from the beginning anyway.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Feb 15, 2011 12:14 PM

waterfalls are for sissies, clearly. CLEARLY.

PREPARE YOURSELVES

Dark Nation Mar 6, 2011 05:33 PM

Fucking waterfalls, how do they work? Well at least we've begun combat now.

I bet these last few rounds of me going last are revenge for dice roll shenangians too =p
