I suppose thats true. I grew up in Los Gatos, CA, just shy of San Jose. It was OK, but I much prefer the pacific northwest.

As a weather I like the winter as most. The reason is that there is the nice atmosphere and person can be fresh for the work till end of the day.

I'm a coastal boy, so anything above 90 fuckin' kills me. Just can't stand hot weather. Give me foggy, cold, muggy days any day. although a healthy balance is always welcome. Those are usually the perfect river days where I'm from. Nice and hot with a cool breeze.
I also LOVE the rain and rain/thunderstorms. |
I prefer spring. Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower. I like spring because the sun rises in the earlier hours of the morning and sets later on in the afternoon. The days get slightly warmer. Spring flowers start to appear, birds start building their nests and the farmers deliver new-born lambs. Weather in spring is very varied. Some days it may be cold enough to snow, and some days it is warm enough to play out in the garden. Spring months can also be awfully windy. Weather varies though in spring, worldwide.

In Ohio it's hard to pick one month that's better or worse than the others, at least in the northeast. But I'd have to say spring and fall are both much better than summer or winter. Summer is too hot and humid while winter is too cold and you can hardly go anywhere when the snow starts falling, but spring and fall are a nice perfect medium.

Cold weather puts me in an awesome mood (bright, sunny, and cold). Cold and rainy? Just as awesome. I live in the Houston area, and most of the year is pretty warm  Can't wait until winter.

I thought I loved cold and misty weather, since it was rare in most of the places I grew up in and I fancied myself more of a stay-out-of-the-sunlight sort of person.
Then I moved to Seattle. Now I say: Fuck cold and misty weather. In Seattle it is cold and misty most of the time. It's the middle of summer, and until yesterday the warmest it usually gets in the day is in the mid 60's. I got soooo depressed this fallwinterspring because the sun NEVER came out and I ended up with a serious vitamin D deficiency. Overcast is not my happy weather. Pleh! I'm out of here as soon as my grad degree is in hand. |
Yeah, Portland is like that too. It was very rainy all throughout fall, winter, and spring and was fairly cool and overcast until recently. Love it, can't wait for the soft white cloud cover to come back and give everything that gentle diffuse glow again, while I fall asleep to the quiet pitter-patter of the rain.
Summers here tend to be much hotter than Seattle though. Yesterday it was over 90. |
I have to go ahead and disagree with Hydra. Seattle's weather is awesome.

The overcast and misty weather of the pacific northwest is friggin awesome.

We had some great weather move in yesterday. It was nice. It was supposed to be Sunny and around 100 degrees all week and everyone woke up yesterday to rain everywhere and 70 something temps. I drove up to the mountain and went for a hike in it lol, it was great.
