Yup. That 8 people mode is pretty fun.

I'm sure i left out plenty of stuff on each game. But I was just giving my opinion away as to what sticks out in memory.

How did they manage 8 people? LAN-mode? Or taking turns with controllers?

CloudNine Apr 11, 2006 07:37 PM

You can use four controllers and have two people share a controller. One person uses the L button with the joystick and the other uses the R button with the C Stick. They had to make up all new games for it since you really couldn't do much with just one hand and a button. I actually thought it was pretty stupid, considering there was only about 10 different games and they got boring pretty fast.

Darkcomet72 Apr 12, 2006 10:02 PM

It depends on the games actually. Most of them don't even need 8 players for it to work. All of them are really 2 VS 2 VS 2 VS 2, and some are even split into 4 player teamwork based games. The best ones are the ones where the individual player can concentrate on his part only. One minigame "Hammer Spammer" involves the 8 players on a single platform dodging the many hammers the Hammer Bros throws out. Very chaotic, especially with 8 people in one room.

The games will get boring if you don't play it with enough people. With 8, it's freakin awesome (just for the excitement levels in the room).

I vote 1 and 3. MP1 was probably my favorite because the most skillful player could win consistantly and plus it had grab bag (probably the best game ever made). 3 had the battle mode which was loads of fun... too bad they took it out in 4 on because it had a lot of potential.

Expertgamer Apr 16, 2006 05:31 AM

MP1 is the best evar!

I love it so damn much! The maps are great! The tunes rock and the minigames never get boring.

Then it's MP5 for me! The maps are great! (Pirate Dream FTW!) Only downside is: WTF? No Donkey Kong! I wanna play DK... Although Mini Bowser Makes up for it!

Then... MP7. MP7 Has good maps, some tunes are cool and such. No Mini Bowser anymore, but i love Dry Bones!

Then... MP3. The maps are okay, and the introduction of Waluigi and Daisy rock! Go Waluigi! ^_^

Then... MP6. It's kinda kiddy. The moon and the sun fighting... Please. Although, the maps are okay and some tunes are okay too. Introduction of the mic didn't move me much.

Then... MP4. Hello!?! I want to play on the landscape and not somewhere above it! (I.E. Bowser's board) I didn't like it much.

Last: MP2: I dunno, but i hate this game. I had fun with it, for a while. But now, i think it's the worst MP ever made.

I haven't played MPA.

I've always wanted to play this one, imagine the fun of swiping sixty four e-Reader cards!

Poor e-Reader. =(

Wow that looks pretty damn sweet! I am saddened by the amount of votes 4 has gotten. If you haven't played more than 1, don't vote. :D

Actually, only eleven of those 64 cards in the entire deck are e-Reader compatible. I have that game myself.

Infernal Monkey Apr 22, 2006 01:22 AM

So all the others are just rule cards or something?

Poor e-Reader. =(

Basil Apr 22, 2006 01:33 PM

Nah, most of them are just coin cards, superstar's hat/clothing/shoes cards, and superstar cards - the main objective to winning the game.

Summonmaster Apr 22, 2006 02:25 PM

I've played 1-7 several times and have owned 5-7 until I traded them all in.
It's hard to choose definitively which one is my favourite out of the series, but I chose 1 because of:

RUNNING OF THE BULB
Everyone in the room would scream at the top of their lungs trying to get to the end of the stage because someone would always get possessed and steal the bulb away, and then they'd obviously get themselves killed by the giant boo. Add the Thwomps, mini-boos, everyone random scrambling around punching each other for kicks, and you had one jamboree of a minigame.

So many of the minigames are classics.
The fun one for Mario Party 5 (I believe) that was mentioned is PUSHY PENGUINS. Nothing like a swarm of penguins that are unintentionally freezing you in the process of their daily frolicking. Watch out for those mamma penguins!

what is MP Advance ?

My favorite game of MM Series is Mario Party 2.

LuigiCyclone May 8, 2006 07:03 AM

I would go for MP5 since i thought the night and day thing was pretty unique.
I also like some of the maps on that one.
I reckon they get better and better, but MP3 was kinda hard.

Oh, I might as well ask. On the first MP, did anything happen if you got the Fly Guy to fly a certain distance in the the Mini Game house?

SunkistTheHedge May 8, 2006 07:22 AM

MP7 was good but i dont like the story mode in it" But party mode is much better
