Mark, aka Masao Inaba from Persona 1, right.
THANK YOU.
That sprung to mind when you mentioned race-swapping, but I couldn't be sure since I've yet to play Persona 1.
You get my turn.
What? You've got to pay the price for knowing the answer. I'm not your Finnish man-servant.
Hmph. Fine.
"Old Ward. Also known as: Wanker City" Let's see if ye ken guess eet without googling, berk. |
You should make it less obvious. If you use a game you're currently ranting and raving about it's quite easy to hazard a guess. Using an easy quote doesn't make it any better. Might as well use THIS GUY ARE SICK.
I refuse to answer solely because I ain't got shit I want to use as a followup question, so I'll let the next fella get it. |
Well, there's a huge chuck of RPG Forumites who don't know about my journal, nor click on the little popup tab. Or would even make the connection because lol genre :3:
Plus even if they spot the game, they likely don't know the character, cutter. |
Anna from Planescape: Torment, right?
Annah, but yes you are quite correct. Should have said "Annah of the Shadows" for that extra flair~
Ok then, I guess it's my turn then.
I guess you could say I was never really close to my father. I mean, he did banish my mother and me when I was only 7 years old, all because I didn't have the ability to use magic. When I was 12 years old I started learning how to be a blacksmith and because of my skill at it, I would later become know as "The Steel". A few years later my mother died and that really tore me up. None of my misfortunes would stop me from making something of myself though, in fact, I ended up becoming the ruler of my own kingdom, one that I started created from the ground up. |
Gustave XIII, SaGa Frontier 2.
You are correct!
I am the illegitimate son of the chairman of the powerful Merchant's Guild, as it turns out. Upon my unexpected return home to meet him, he sent me off to a town on the fringes of the country and out of the view of his political rivals. I did pretty nicely for myself in this new place, but my father and his agents tried to arrest me for tax fraud when I cut them out of the loop (which may have been the case, but that's neither here nor there!). Through hard work, dedication, and a little bit of political intrigue, I fought off the battalion sent to apprehend me-- and brought down my father's power base in the process. Sorry, Dad?
Now if only people could pronounce the town's name right. |
That sounds like Thomas from Suikoden III...
That sounds like the correct answer.
This is good for gauging how vague I need to be in future questions. Apparently much more so. |
It helps that I just got past that part in the game.
I had to stay behind in a small town because something valuable belonging to my master, a merchant, was stolen. He thought that my special abilities would help me to find the item. With the help of two strangers from the north, I was able to recover it, and upon discovering that there was no way for me to return to my master, I decided to join them on their quest. (trying not to make it too easy, and probably failing) |
Ivan from Golden Sun?
Well that lasted a long time.
As cool as a winter breeze, and as lethal as a flying knife, I'm an assassin. People around me often mention words such as "emotion" and "remorse", but such phrases are wasted on me. I am a corpse who has never been alive, willing to kill whoever by whatever means. With my cape and dagger, I can glide through the blanket of the night and strike like a nimble tiger all within the time span of a few seconds. That girl, though......she is the only one I even remotely sense any feeling of attachment with.
Assuming you're just speaking in metaphor, Shadow?
Nope. But you are correct in that first assumption.
<_< >_> |
The cold assassin whose emotions are awakened by a girl is a pretty common theme, really. You may want to expand upon that if a day or two passes with no answer, since the only useful identifier there is the mentioning of a cape (which now apparently may or may not be a metaphor).
For now though, I'm stumped. |
Yeah, Shadow was my only guess too, but I ruled him out because of the cape.
People were looking for a challenge, weren't they? And the best way to offer a challenge with this game is to remain fairly ambiguous and/or choose a relatively unknown character. But yeah, if it's too general, then I'll offer a couple of hints.
Also the blanket of night is a metaphor, the cape isn't...I think what Axel was alluding to was the "corpse" bit anyway. |
