Hmmm... but does the thin pak of Azumanga Daioh have all that stuff that you mentioned?
|
I can never truly get myself to buy anime. I'm a downloader at heart, and if the quality is fine, I see no reason for me to actually buy the DVD. Plus, I'm cheap, and the money I can spend on DVDs can go to better things, like oh, my textbooks and stuff.
On the other hand, I would download then buy manga, that's my policy. For me, the pleasure of actually sitting on a couch and reading manga is better than staring at a screen at shoddy scans for an hour. But for anime, the quality is not lost if I just Svideo the stuff over to my screen. Not a big deal to me if I don't buy the actual DVD. |
i download anime, i usually buy anime after i watched the series on tv or downloaded on my pc( i bought Evangeliion and Bubblegum Crisis after watch them like 30 times in tv).
downloading is a good way to promote a series, if you like you will buy it later |
Back in my highschool years, i use to buy a shitload of dvds. Didn't matter what it was cause they were all good around those years. Now i dont buy that much (since i have other things to do with the money) I only buy some anime dvds that are WORTH buying.
Azumanga Daioh - i got the collection for 45 bucks. The only flaw of this collection was that there was no Web Daioh or the lil Movie version with the updated animation. Other than that, it was good. |
I buy 99% of my anime.
Why? Because 99% of fansubbers care more about making their subs pretty than they do about fscking making them fscking right fscking. |
Huh, is that so?

I really only download when I decide to watch anime. If it's a series that I love, then I consider buying it, and when I do consider buying it, I really only consider the R2 releases.
The only anime I own are Eureka seveN DVDs 1 and 2 and Spirited Away. Also some DBZ movie I bought when I was a kid. I do want to buy the R2 Fullmetal Alchemist and BLEACH DVDs though. No R1 releases, they just don't do it for me. |
