3 points: Sam & Max Season Two Soundtrack - Woo!
1 point: Namco Game Sound Express VOL.11 Ridge Racer - Feeling over (UNDERGROUND) 1 point: Fang of Alnam - YUHSHI 1 point: Sega Smash Pack: Volume 1 (Game Rip) - Back in Time I definitely wasn't impressed with this week's selection of tunes. Thankfully, Jared Emerson-Johnson's jazz is always good in a pinch. The other two tracks I awarded points to were merely on the tolerable, perhaps "decent", side of things. |
My next nom:
Artist: Norio "what the hell is a Kazuo" Hanzawa Game: Alien Soldier (Genesis Rip) Track: 3-Prayers Track #: 16 on VGZ set Catalog #: n/a Year: 1995 Source: Project 2612 - The Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive Music Archive Additional Info: There is a soundtrack release, but most of the tracks don't fully loop, so I'm going with the emulated version. Uploading to the FTP shortly. |
20th anniversary a TRIBUTE to GAME-sounds for music-CD - Comic Star (Take the A-Train)
This one is just really weird, especially the fragments of voice. The different parts don't really fit together and the crazy stereo separation gives me kind of a headache when I listen to this on headphones. Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden (Game Rip) - johnathan taylor thomas It's pretty cool, has a catchy melody, and some nice action going on. Fang of Alnam - YUHSHI The initial melody sounds pretty promising, it doesn't really go anywhere though and ends up being rather repetitive. LEGEND CONSUMER SERIES: Summer Carnival '92 RECCA FAMICOM SOUNDTRACK - JSR $2302 (Summer Carnival '92 Recca Arrange Version) I don't really dig the melody of this one. Luster ~ Music from BRIGANTY PC98ver. - Coda "BRIGANTY" (Ending) I like the lead melody, everything else is pretty solid, too. Namco Game Sound Express VOL.11 Ridge Racer - Feeling over (UNDERGROUND) It's got a few more melodic parts that I like, but most of it isn't really my thing. The vocal fragments are a little weird, too. Sam & Max Season Two Soundtrack - Woo! Holiday-ish feeling music done really well. I don't find any of the parts particularly captivating, but together, they just sound really nice. Sega Smash Pack: Volume 1 (Game Rip) - Back in Time Catchy melody and good rhythm, nice instrumentation, with just enough variation to keep it from getting boring. 3 Points: Sega Smash Pack: Volume 1 (Game Rip) - Back in Time 2 Points: Sam & Max Season Two Soundtrack - Woo! 1 Point: Luster ~ Music from BRIGANTY PC98ver. - Coda "BRIGANTY" (Ending) |
