This just in:

Schumacher to make sensational F1 comeback

This is pretty sensational, even if you're not really interested in Formula One, lol

Holy shit! I wonder what kind of quality we'll see from him after being away for a few years.

And my prayers go to Massa. I hear he just got off intensive care. Hopefully there are no lasting injuries, he is a phenomenal guy.

Anyway, quite the amount of drama in just a few days. If Schumacher is indeed to reenter the race, everything in this current league becomes a joke.

I'm hoping the whatever-called new league with only cars that can actually GO FORWARD is more interesting, whenever it starts.

Word. First Mosley's (totally unexpected, haha) resign, Messi's crash, BMW's decision to quit and now Schumacher's return. Formula One has never been more exciting before.

Exciting is a word for it, but don't you feel like it is becoming more and more of a... joke?

The whole has been a joke for a couple of seasons though. Pretty much ever since Ecclestone didn't sack Mosely after he was caught in a Nazi porn dungeon.

I imagine Schumacher will be up to speed pretty quickly, he still works closely with Ferrari now so must still drive the car around. It'll be interesting to see if he can finally prove that it was him, rather than Ross Braun who was responsible for all those victories though. Current season evidence would suggest that the engineers are far more important than the drivers but Schumacher has a chance to prove he really is the amazing driver most people make him out to be.

I'd suggest that F1's existence in it's current form was doomed as soon as Branson got involved. He's not the type to listen to other multi-millionaires and do what they want, I'd be very surprised if he wasn't one of the main instigators of all the rifts.

This just in: Schumacher Cans F1 Return

Quote:

"Yesterday evening, I had to inform Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo and Team Principal Stefano Domenicali that unfortunately I'm not able to step in for Felipe,” Schumacher stated on his personal website. “I really tried everything to make that temporary comeback possible, however, much to my regret it didn't work out.

“Unfortunately we did not manage to get a grip on the pain in the neck which occurred after the private F1-day in Mugello, even if medically or therapeutically we tried everything possible.

So much for the hype, eh? :(

I wonder who Ferrari are going to find now. Sure, with Marc Gené and Luca Badoer they've got some fine test drivers with Grand Prix experience (albeit old), but with the ban on testing during the season, they probably haven't gotten to drive the 2009 car around much. On the other hand, both Nelson Piquet Jr. and Sébastien Bourdais have been fired by their respective teams, so that's two available 2009 drivers (not top choices, though). It's also rumoured that Alonso might be joining Ferrari next year and therefore might consider leaving Renault early, but frankly I don't see him dealing such a blow to the team that helped him clinch two world championships.

Additional Spam:
And Badoer it is!

Fisichella on pole at Spa! Who saw that coming?
