I have a lot of little things as opposed to a few larger nerd items. In high school, I had a poster of the Enterprise-D with LED lights, and a bunch of Micro Machines Star Trek models. The fact that I didn't take them with me when I moved out tells how much I cared about them.

My large video game system collection (and the footlocker filled with old game boxes in my bedroom) not withstanding, much of my collection isn't all that nerdy. I've got several shelves of hockey pucks, and I spend about $100 each year at the annual marble show. The nerdiest purchase that springs to mind is the near-life-size remote control K-9 I bought in NYC this spring (and a 10th Doctor figure to go with it). I'm a big time Doctor Who nerd, and if more merchandise was available in the States, I'd buy it.

I quite honestly envy you for that. I haven't even had a chance to see him perform live, as northern New Brunswick has pretty much squat in terms of concert tour dates. Now that I'm in Montreal I'll surely get a chance to go do that though.

I have to specify the fact that I collected the albums over the course of many months, constantly going back to one of the two record stores in my home town to pick up discs and order some more. I had pretty much squat for cash back then (hmmm... as I do now incidentally) and so to be spending a good chunk of my meager salary on a bunch of discs seems a bit nerdy. Once the re-issues came out, they were more readily available to me, first because they were actually carried by most record stores, and second because I had moved to a bigger city. It was all useless to me however, since I already had most of the albums.

As for that whole Dick's Picks thing though, all I can say is wow. I only wish I could say I've went to that extent of rock'n'roll nerdiness. Props.

In elementary school, we used to have something called "Discovery Day" in which professionals from various fields ranging from politicians to apiarists would come talk to us about what they do.

One year we had the inventor of the Koosh ball come in for a chat. I still have his autograph (obtained on a whim) somewhere around here.

My Xenogears Perfect Works book is probably the nerdiest item I have. I'm a huge Xenogears fanboy and to own something like that is necessary.

I've got Zelda: the Wand of Gamelon. No CD-i to play it on, sadly.

This is probably mine, though it's more sad desperate wanker than nerdy, as I danced on stage in front of a huge crowd acting out whatever Link motions the announcer yelled at me to do. "PICK UP BOMB" "USE HOOKSHOT" "okay hurf gurf durf" like a fucking retard to get it. It was an event for little kids, too.

Also my Klax collection is quite nerdy nerd nerd shabadoo, with about twelve different versions. I actually put effort into obtaining a new copy of the Japanese Mega Drive one though, and got pretty excited while tearing the shrink wrap off.

Ah, Skies of Arcadia. Got that one on both Dreamcast and Gamecube, but the nerdiest thing I've got? It's a tie between my AT-AT Walker Star Wars Miniature and my Halo 3 Legendary Helmet. Perhaps it's the Walker, seeing as I don't play that miniature-game, but fell in love with that damn piece of plastic...

I've actually got two copies of that for my DC. I'm considering holding some GFF-wide contest and using it as prize numero uno. Also, I lack Miles' Japanese swag, but I think both Skills and I are easily on pace with him for game collection.
