Oy vey....this will be hard. It's a pretty big grab bag, but more than that, many of its contents will take quite a different strategy than I'm used to. Nevertheless, I accept! This should be interesting.

I'm pretty happy with my type, too. The problem is... One of the ones I want to include on my team is level 1, and you can't catch them in the wild... So I'll have to RAISE RAISE RAISE for the rest of the weekend. Heh.

I didn't get the type I was hoping for but mine isn't horrible either. I've got options at least. I suppose I'm lucky in that I'd already raised up a bunch that I could use in this, and that raising the last couple won't be too difficult or time consuming.

Once a person's team is done, Kai, do we PM the roster and movesets to you, or what?

Nah, no need for that stuff this time around. I trust you guys won't mess with your move pool once the tournament has started. We're just playing for fun, afterall.

My type is certainly interesting, but the list is kind of small and isn't full of the big names. Sadly, it was pretty much the only type I wasn't going to be excited to see.

My list isn't that big either, but it's got two or three that I'm excited to have on my team.

The fun part is... Well, it looks like my team will be mostly dual-type, with my type being secondary. Not because of lack of Pokemon that have my type, but the fact that the ones I want to use being something else. Should be intereesting, to say the least. :3333:

I'm happy with my type, but honestly there are very few types I would have dreaded getting stuck with. And those types I dreaded are more or less because I tend to release Pokemon I don't like. So for certain types I'd have quite a bit of hunting and capturing to do before I even could work on leveling.

I have some hunting and researching to do myself. I have maybe two pokemon of my given type that I suppose I could use but I'm not sure I really want to. Plus..well, I hope I'm not giving away my type here, I have a lot of pokemon to choose from, many of which I don't know much about.

I go by kind of a brute force strategy, but not too many of this type seem like they'd do very well with that. Oh well, can always try a different approach. We shall see!

EDIT: I think I got my choices picked out now, it's a matter of catching them and getting the moves I want.

I sold my copy off. I'm stuck using Pokemon Diamond. If the price heavily drops, then I'll go and pick myself up another copy.

No PBR for me, either. I don't mind battling via DS, though.

I will have it when I get my Wii back from a friend this week.

Ok, sign ups are now closed and this tournament is ready to go.
Well, almost. Just waiting on radcliff13, if I don't hear from him by the end of today I'll just drop him from the tournament.
Since this is a round robin tournament you are required to fight everyone for at least one round. First to three wins/draws ought to do it, that means a minimum of three actual battles per person before switch against a new player. So be sure to log down your victories and losses! And post about it back here.

Also, Points Break Down:
Win = 2 points
Draw = 1 Point (Either when each player's final Pokemon is KO'd in the same turn or when both players are in a deadlock lasting more than 10 mins. For the latter~ it is at both player's discretion to accept the draw. Not a requirement.)
Loss = 0 points

Once all players have done their rounds points will be tallied and the top 4 will battle it out for first place. Mostly to see who is the clear winner. To advance in the top 4, all you have to do is battle the person with more points than you (4th -> 3rd, 2nd -> 1st. Winner of those matches will then battle each other once.)

And one last thing. Any point ties that may effect placing in the top 4 will require a sudden death match (quick 3-on-3 battle.)

Basically, yes! The only thing I ask from you is that you log down your battle statistics. Like Wins, losses, what the heck happened, interesting notes, etc. Post it here in this thread or in a notepad, or something. Just be sure you are keeping a record so I can add it up later.

No problem, just start battling when you're ready. We're in no hurry! But let's not take one month to do this (like last time.)
