I'm down too. There's just a slight chance that I won't be able to get it any time soon. But if I do, count me in!

P.S: Here's a link to a match where you can see my size. I've been told several times that i look like I should be 250 lbs. I guess it should be comforting to hear that.

Got the game, waited outside a Target at 6:30 until it opened at 8:00.

Pretty fun device, and (surprisingly) the Yoga and Strength training exercises actually make you build up a sweat. That Yoga "Tree" pose on the cover of the game is fucking BRUTAL. You have to keep that for a good 30-40 seconds with each leg and stay within the "balance circle" on the screen, it's tough.

The way that the game tracks your center of balance for each exercise makes doing mundane things like squats interesting. It gives a "high score" feeling to exercise, which (if people actually play this game more than a week) will lead to a lot of Americans getting healthy. Imagine that, Nintendo improving the health of millions of Americans? It's a pretty crazy dream, but it's possible.

Some people have mentioned that the game could use a "workout routine" mode. I definitely agree. That would probably be the only main addition I'd make at this time, mainly because people could just do 3 or 4 of the minigames at random and not get a full workout. Perhaps Nintendo could offer sheets on its WiiFit website that you could print out and check off.

22.7 BMI, though, booyah.

Wii Fit says I'm obese. :(

Well, I'll give myself 2 months to try to work that down to "overweight." >_>

It appears no stores in the Baltimore-Washington area have this in stock now, so I ate a Wendy's double with cheese instead. Suck it, Nintendo.

You would think but honestly that seems to be the standard thing people say to over weight people in our weight range. Im buessing because of your muscle density your about 340 pounds but due to muscle density you don't look like you weight that. Your about the same size as me and I weigh 340 although you would never guess.

I figured it was something like that too. Better that then just being all body fat. That would be tragic. Either way, I'm attempting to make a real effort to do something I enjoy immensely (with the help of my large stature of course).

22.1 here. :p

I was the youngest person in the store to get mine...also the only male. Yep, a bunch of middle-aged women coming in to get it. Also, Rayman 3 will be using this board. ;)

I did quite the workout yesterday and I'm enthused about exercising now. I never did before and its really a great feeling. Today I get to invite some ladies over after work to get into gym shorts and work out. :)

I like where this is going. Also I hate the marble madness mini-game and the repetitive soccer-like "headbutting" makes me dizzy. Too bad I set my goal for no weight change over the next two weeks.

I tried this out at my friend's house yesterday, and I was happy to find that I have 100% perfect posture. My center of gravity was exactly in the middle. Woohoo!

I forget what my BMI was, but we were both incredibly obese according to the game =P

This game seems to be impossible to find around here. It's almost as rare as the Wii itself. :( Anyone know a good website that might have it in stock? Not trying to pay $199 for it.

No, you can't really buy it online anywhere. You have to find out where it will be available and when, then get there early. I thought we've all understood this routine with this system. This is also why people preorder titles.

Manny Biggz May 23, 2008 02:59 PM

Didn't really think much about getting it until the actual release date (one day before my birthday. So I asked for it as a present).

Lukage May 23, 2008 07:13 PM

Oh ho! Looks like you'll have to run from store to store and get your exercise in! Naturally you will be too tired afterwards and will be forced to box it back up and put it away as you've strained yourself from chasing down a copy!

Time for my third day of training.

It must've been Nintendo's secret plan all along! It's OK. There's a handy track field several blocks from me. I'll put it to good use. If the weather allows me to at least.

Tube May 24, 2008 01:20 PM

Mine was like 22.1 BMI. I was told I need to lose 0.8 pounds in the next couple weeks to meet my target. HOPE I CAN DO IT...

nuttyturnip May 27, 2008 07:09 PM

Here's how I know I'm fat: Every time I go for a jog, Mo0 passes me. And passes me. And passes me again.

Why, Nintendo? WHY?!?!?

nuttyturnip Jun 4, 2008 11:45 AM

So, is anyone still "playing" with this? I've been trying to spend 1/2 hour a day with it, with a good balance of all the activities. Some of the strength training stuff can really kick your ass (side planks for one), but it's not hard to work up a sweat.

Is there still any interest in some sort of Wii Fit club, like Acer suggested? If you're actually using it to try to lose some weight, it might be easier if we had a friendly competition going.

Rotorblade Jun 4, 2008 11:52 AM

I'd recommend it, though I don't really use the thing as my sole weight loss regimen. I tend to throw in a combination of running and such, but I know most people who use Wii Fit have already known the kind of things said about the device and supplementary training.

Still, a fitness blog with people encouraging you on and keeping you honest? It could help a soul or two here reach their goals and maybe achieve a few other things in the process.
