My dad has barely mastered the use of email (he still wants me to call or reply or otherwise acknowledge that I've received his message), and he refuses to use instant messenger, so I can't imagine how he'd use Facebook.

Hell, I don't even use Facebook. I set up a barebones profile a few years ago just so I could look at links others sent me, but I didn't put a picture up until a month ago. Now all of a sudden I'm getting friend requests from people I know, I guess because they can finally confirm it's me.
