Phoenix Wright: Justice for All is $15 at circuit city! :D

Neogeo Battle Coliseum, King of Fighters 11 and Fire Pro Wrestling Returns are great games for like $15 a pop.

Tone, my man, you have good taste.

I forgot about both of those games although it should be noted that fire Pro Wrestling Returns seems to only be available at EBGames/Gamestop at 20 bucks.

Last night I was going through my collection and I started figuring out how much I bought some of them for...

I found Castlevania: Symphony of the Night when it first came out used, but in mint condition, on the used rack at Software Etc. for $20. Then the game disappeared for a bit and when people were trying to find it all over again, people were selling the damn game for upwards of $60 on eBay.

This weekend I went to the swap meet and found a mint copy of 7th Saga on the SNES for $5. It was still in its original box too even if the box is a little frayed around the edges. Coincidentally, this same vendor is the same one I bought Killer 7 from for $10, JSRF for $5 and my Collector's Edition tin of Marc Ecko's Getting Up for $15 from.

Also, I don't know if this would count, but I also recently bought Samba De Amigo for the Dreamcast for $5 + $5 in shipping... When the game arrived, I realized that it shipped with the maracas! The same item sells for upwards of $75 plus shipping on eBay! Holy fucking shit, that's the best $10 I ever spent on a game~

Grandia Xtreme - I bought this in Japan, sealed for 1000 yen, like 10 dollars. Sure it may be an old game, and it may not have been a huge hit like the earlier games, but this is still a steal. I'm loving the game btw, there may be no story, but the gameplay is simply excellent (no matter what people may say, gameplay has always been the best aspect of a Grandia game).

Tales of Symphonia - You'd say that the PS2 port of a Gamecube hit would value a lot of bucks, but I still found it dirt cheap everywhere, even though the release wasn't so old. The GC version which was older was more expensive than this one, even though most people seem to think that the PS2 game is the better version. I do not regret spending 15 bucks for this one.

Actually, the PS2 version is almost universally considered the worse of the two because of its absolutely horrendous load times. It's barely considered playable.

I recently picked up Astro Boy: The Omega Factor (GBA) at K-Mart for $15. That particular store seems to have a lot of old games sitting around, so I wouldn't be prepared to say you're going to find it just anywhere, but it was nice to grab this one on the cheap. It's another good installment from Treasure, and is actually much improved over the Japanese version. The story's pretty good too, since they drew directly from Osamu Tezuka's work.

K-Mart is a really great store to find video game bargains, if you know what to look for ahead of times. Especially at the stores in bad neighborhoods where the employees just don't care, they don't bother to mark clearance prices on games, so no one knows its on sale until you bring it up to the register.

Seriously? I mostly go on extra content that the PS2 version has, like more floors to the hidden dungeon with an awesome fight at the bottom, some new skits and stuff like that. Load times aren't really an issue in Tales games for me, seeing as the ones in Symphonia are no worse than in Legendia, and even better as in Abyss.

At its launch price of $59.99, this 360 game was grossly overpriced. Now that it's dropped to $9.99 at places like Best Buy and Gamestop, it's on par with an XBLA title. It's a fun anime/mech fighter that's good for a few minutes of mindless combat (a bit like Virtual On).

I picked up WarTech as of recent, given that it's an arcade game, I think gets a pretty bum rap as far as people who talk about its gameplay and price. Learn to play it and it's far from mindless, it's one of the most unique competitive experiences out there. Moreover, I think it's worth 60 dollars after I got into it... I only heard about it after the price drop though. It's hard to sell a game like WarTech, but I think it isn't a question of price, it's a question of whether or not the player should bother. If you're just going to play it for achievements, it's very much just another 10 dollars in the bucket. But I haven't been so engaged in a competitive game in some time.

I wish I knew about it sooner.

This is going to sound a little weird but Target has The Simpsons Game on sale for $25 around these parts. (Its a clearance sale; I guess they're not carrying that title anymore?)

Nevermind the fact that the gameplay is blah - the humor is way, way better than anything the show has had in the last 8 years and the game has the best XBLA achievement ever.

I agree with this, as I found Grandia on the PSX for $15 a few years back at a local K-mart when I lived in NC. From that point on I'd always check at K-marts since the games are usually just thrown in there and you can find a gem among them every so often.

Picked up Vice City Stories on PSP for $7 clearance at the local Wal-mart here as well as Jeanne D'arc for $20. Also a second copy of Final Fantasy IV on GBA for $5 too from there. Lastly in the bargin parts picked up Darkstalkers on PSP for $10 used a couple weeks back. (Was $19.99 but had been marked down that day to $9.99)

Also while not in the Bargin Bin, I picked up a copy of Disgaea for PSP for $30. Apparently it's a rare title title now and can't be found anywhere. :|

Unfortunately Target clearances sometimes vary from store to store. My local Target had it for $35 last weekend, which is still tempting. Especially since this coupon works on video games (used it on Lost Odyssey last weekend).

That coupon is full of win right there.

Last time I checked, the only game on discount at my Target was Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles... Ugh.

It's been floating around Cheapassgamer for a month or so, and most people haven't had any problems using it. As long as folks don't abuse it, it's $5 off games for the next 6 months.
