Or you just find a way out of it.

Oh, today's update is Luigi's Mansion.

The_Griffin Feb 18, 2008 04:26 AM

The idea of an infinite is that you CAN'T break out of it.

Chaotic Feb 18, 2008 04:28 AM

Then intentionally mess up your opponent off screen. Simple. It just requires them getting out of rhythm, and I know a lot of rhythm retarded people. <_<

The_Griffin Feb 18, 2008 04:31 AM

That's a good idea, but in netplay all you can do is D/C, which could possibly be penalized.

Chaotic Feb 18, 2008 04:37 AM

I'm sure they won't let you get away with disconnects, but if you're just going for random battles, there's gonna be too much going on to even attempt to pull of an infinite.

Monkey King Feb 18, 2008 12:02 PM

I dunno. Did you watch the movies? There's not much skill involved with Falco's infinite. You just spam the blaster and bounce him all the way across the board, or pin him against the wall and jack his damage up to 300%. Short of the other players coming to your rescue, you're kinda screwed. Doubly so if EVERYONE plays Falco.

Chaotic Feb 18, 2008 12:40 PM

I have seen the video, so I know what you're talking about. Like you said, people would probably whore out Fox's wallshine infinite as well since it's easier to pull of this time around.

Kagosin Feb 18, 2008 01:01 PM

The thing being though, is that how many that are going to play online are going to be able to successfully pull the glitches off during random matches. Maybe against friends, whom they know how to play, but these seem more of a hassle to pull off.

immp Feb 18, 2008 11:14 PM

The falco thing though you need to hit the ground hard and be shot right as you do to make it work. Now I'm assuming that with most average and above players it'd be instintual to tech recover before hitting the ground. And if you're in a situation where you cant its most likely the falco player wouldnt be ready to start blasting.

Anyone else as nerdy as me, already making a list of quotes to use for the Text taunts?

Stop Sign Feb 19, 2008 02:10 AM

Hey, is anyone else going to the Brawl tourney in San Francisco this Saturday? I might go pending a car repair, but if I make it, I think it'll be cool to meet up!

Chaotic Feb 19, 2008 10:36 AM

Today's update: Zelda and Ice Climbers's special moves.

Nothing special. :|

Krelian Feb 19, 2008 11:03 AM

The Dojo is dead to me.

Sin Ansem Feb 19, 2008 02:31 PM

Who cares about the Dojo? I've actually played the damn thing!

Oh, and nice Pokey avatar. I remember seeing a thin Pokey in that same art style somewhere...

Chaotic Feb 19, 2008 02:40 PM

IT'S A DAMN GOOD EXCUSE FOR POSTCOUNT++ AND FINDING OUT RANDOM TIDBITS OF INFORMATION. :tpg:

Stages and character updates are pretty useless to us though. If they give us gameplay information, then that's a different story. I wouldn't have known about the Pivot Grab if the Dojo said nothing about it.

Excuses excuses! :p

But on a side note though, has someone set up a list of people that is going to be playing SSBB on GFF? If so, I missed it.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Feb 19, 2008 06:40 PM

It's probably best to wait until the damn thing comes out and make a wiki entry with the friend codes.

That'll work.

Chaotic Feb 19, 2008 10:23 PM

If anyone is interested, BrawlCentral has a live stream running of Brawl gameplay. Even though it's just computers fighting each other, it's still pretty cool to watch.

Freelance Feb 19, 2008 10:58 PM

QUESTION.

Is it possible for my little sister and I to play the game online at the same time? I hear this is a feature that will be included for Mario Kart, but I haven't heard anything about SSBB. It'd be so awesome if it's possible.

Chaotic Feb 19, 2008 11:01 PM

Yeah. You can have up to three people play online at the same time. You need that 4th spot for the online entrant.

Freelance Feb 19, 2008 11:04 PM

3 people online in the same room on the same Wii? Golly, that's sweet!!!

SSBB will be awesome ^_^

Chaotic Feb 20, 2008 02:06 AM

For great justice and postcount++:

Today's update: Falco.

Dear God, how many times has this picture been done before?

And I've been watching the Brawl stream on BrawlCentral... My god, that computer match: Fox v. Falco v. Wolf v. Lucario has been going on for about two hours now.

I'm tired of all the Landmasters!

immp Feb 20, 2008 02:34 AM

Would anyone know if the random stage select options are still in the game? The ones that were in additional rules in Melee and allowed you to turn stages off so they wouldnt show up when you selected a random stage.
And if so do the options include custom stages?

Via "Friends" only but that was expected and I'm sure people don't mind.

I looked around and I didn't see the option (yet). Maybe I have to unlock all stages first (just three more) to get that option. And selecting random does include custom stages.

Infernal Monkey Feb 20, 2008 05:36 AM

Laffo, June 6 for Europe. Maybe one generation Nintendo Europe will get a fucking clue. Maybe!

"But we gave you guys Wii Chess exclusively!"
