By the way, for all those who don't know there now is a fan translation project going for this over at http://www.mother3.org

I was completely thrilled to see this. I simply can not wait.

eriol33 May 13, 2006 11:49 AM

uh yeah, stupid me, I forgot to edit my post after I saw that magazine scan.

anyway, I just hope that this game gonna be translated before GBA meets its death. December 2006? too long I think...

You can still play it on the DS.

I want this game...BAD! I'd still like to see the N64 incarnation of Mother though. That game looked neat.

How big is the fanbase of Mother series? I barely know this game in the SNES golden era. I know it exist after my friend give me a copy of its rom. Cute artwork... modern rpg... but it seems the game doesn't gain too much popularity like other rpg.

This site should tell you more than enough.

Mother 3 is, in all obviousness, Mother 64/Earthbound 64.

Why? There's pretty good odds it's going to be localized anyway, so why are they going to all that trouble? I bet they didn't even wait to hear one way or another. They're just software pirates with thinly veiled motives.

Forsety May 15, 2006 08:56 AM

Bullshit. If you actually bothered to read the forums there, they stated the project would be terminated immediately if there was a release confirmation. Ghideon Zhi started working on a patch over at Aeon Genesis too with the same mindset. Just because it's likely a game will come over doesn't mean it will. Fire Emblem kept the ending in foreshadowing the release of Sealed Sword, yet that never got a release and at this point probably never will. This could easily be the same situation.

Krelian May 15, 2006 09:14 AM

Huh. I didn't think that the GBA version was actually an adaptation of the cancelled 64DD game.

I can wait for an official translation, though.

Syndrome May 23, 2006 03:41 AM

I simply can't wait!
Also, about the world being small, check this picture out:

Who said you would be limited to that worldmap? :P

ooh, an anti-image-leeching campaign! =o
