It's only been one day and you've already given up? Sheesh.

Just keep calling or going to places. I'm sure you'll luck out somewhere.

After over a month of searching, I randomly found one on an unrelated trip to Fry's Electronics. It was a package deal, but the checkout guy didn't know how to bring up the deal in the computer, and sold me the system by itself. I didn't complain.

For some reason, it seems like there's a better chance of picking one up at less electronic-oriented stores like Target or Wal-Mart. By chance, I walked in one day, and there were a bunch there....it's all luck and timing, but if you try a store not frequented only by nintendo-scavengers, you're probably better off.

Eh too bad I caught this late, just this morning my sister sold hers to a woman at work for $125 w/an extra Embarrassment Wand(tm) and all her games (the one that came with it). I woulda helped out a fellow GFF'er.

But you may be in luck, I've seen some sitting on a shelf at Best Buy in Pittsburg, CA, if you live around there. Also the "availability" entry on BB's web site is almost never accurate. Should call always.

You know, Wii has just barely outsold Xbox 360, yet there are plenty of 360's on the shelf everywhere. It seriously makes me think that Nintendo is spending their days manufacturing a supply shortage rather than consoles...

$300? Fuck that noise.

Not even worth more than $250.

I got one using wiitracker.com. I was up late one night(like tonight... or should I say this morning?) and toysrus got them in stock. Got one for $250, no bundles.

Keep checking that website. I got mine about a month ago, but when I was looking for them they usually sold out in 10 minutes during the day when sites got them in stock. But really late into the early morning like 3 am - 6am they usually lasted a couple hours. When I got mine their log said that it took 2+ hours to sell out, which is a long time.

It may be different now considering it is getting closer to xmas.

Amazon currently has Wiis in stock. Is anybody even up at this hour? Who knows, madness!

I'll send you one from Australia, we have so many. Big W's selling them for $50 less than the RRP, other stores are chucking in a free game or two like 2007 GOTY Boogie and 2007 GOTY Billy the Wizard. The local council recently tore up all the roads to replace them with Wii's. My house is made of Wii's.

Only $7000. I'll even throw in a free copy of Wii Sports for another $14,000. PAL version comes with a proper case, which makes it very rare like precious fools gold.

Dark Nation Nov 23, 2007 04:22 AM

My search for the Wii is postponed for at least 2 weeks until my next paycheck, since I just got the 360 :3

Also, Amazon DOES INDEED have them, but I don't wanna pay 500 for just the console :(

No, they were actually in stock through the store for $250. Of course, they only lasted 21 minutes. ;)

Sakabadger Nov 23, 2007 04:32 AM

Looks like they've already sold out of their stock. Oh well!

Argos (if u live in the UK) is a good place to get one since they always seem to get random shipments in. I know cus I work there and we always seem to get them randomly in our store.

It's even better if you know somebody that works there cus staff get the first chance to buy them. :)

Haha, I talked to my 'rents, joking suggested the Wii as a form of exercise. after I told thm that it is backwards compatible with Gamecube titles, that sold the deal.

And so they looked for one, despite me saying they were very hard to find. The end result was that they couldn't find one, but they got more exercise than if they had the system.

Best thing to do is to just wait until the winter months are over. Notice I said winter months. I am sure there will be those who are waiting until Christmas is over to truly do some shopping.

rpgcrazied Dec 4, 2007 07:39 PM

yea, ill just wait til my bday(july) if they dont have them in then, then nintendo is doing something horribly wrong. I mean wtf, its been out a year + shouldnt really be having that big of a trouble making these consoles.
