Fuck all the haters; I love the entire album. I don't really know from song to song, as I've only listened to it from end-to-end so far, but together they work incredibly well. It's up there with OK Computer and Kid A in terms of pure appreciation of the music, for me.

I've listened to In Rainbows more than anything else of theirs. It's a fucking great album! The only dips for me are Faust Arp, Jigsaw Falling Into Place and Videotape, and I don't dislike them, they're just alright. My stand out track is Reckoner. Evil_J_McNasty is right, it is a gorgeous song. And I never describe any music as gorgeous.
Some of the tracks from Ok Computer and Kid A are immense, but as entire albums I have to be in a certain mood to listen to those right through. In Rainbows is more accessible. Yep, I think it's my favourite. |

It's a very solid album, and the first I've listened to by them in years. I absolutely adore "House of Cards" and I'll definitely look into their other material more after hearing this album. Kudos to them for allowing me to hear it for free if I wanted to, because it's something definitely worth buying.

Its nice that the album is a freebie, but the time wasted listening to it isn't. Perhaps I'll take Radiohead seriously when they actually learn to write decent music and coherent lyrics.
The description of them at Something Awful was dead-on. |
That Something Awful guy reminds me of the main character in American Psycho. Except that Christian Bale is hot.

Definately loving this album though, I didn't have Internet access for a couple of weeks so I only just downloaded it yesterday. I only gave them a fiver for the album download, but I evened it out by ordering the discbox. |

Some people will like this album and some people won't; you aren't really an idiot either way. It's just a matter of opinion and taste, as always. Personally, I think it's one of their best albums in years. Up there with OK Computer and Kid A. It didn't really sink in just how good it really is until I had the chance to listen to it a couple of times through. Not to say it's in any way inaccessible, or that is shockingly new like Kid A was (for me). It's just a solid album, through and through. Quote:
And I ordered the box set as well. It's not often a band you like puts together such an awesome 'fan service' item; of course I'm going to jump on it. |
Gave the newest album a listen through. Definitely worthy of The Bends and OK Computer, The Bends being my favorite Radiohead album. I really dig how they kept up with just being different and awesome. Some tracks definitely stood out more than others on my first run through, I would say over half the album. Very solid.
