I think Krelian's symbol would make a good mini-banner, as long as it were incorporated into the main one. Like, if people wanted to link to the site, have a small picture that just has that logo on it. =o

It could even be a favicon. although It's hard to cram alot into a 16x16 space.

Boredom compelled me to knock together this rough logo in mspaint:

I don't like how the logo looks, the character is too thick. I'll refine it once I get back home and have access to Photoshop.

The font is tweaked LilyUPC. It's a mess but hopefully you can see what I'm trying to achieve. Ignore the tagline at the bottom, it's just a placeholder.

And yes, I'm thinking of changing VGMdb's look to dark text upon a fair background, and moving the logo to the top left corner.

I like the idea of dark text on a light background, and can't wait to see the new design.

K i don't get it. Is this just a database of video game albums? Like as in just for info? Or will there be links to where u can purchase the albums? Also what happened to the FTP forums?

FTP forums will stay on GFF. VGMdb is meant to be a cataloguing database, a site you can turn to if you need accurate tracklist or composer information.
