Only cheaters will tell you to do nothing. Do the right thing and tell your friend what's going on.

Nobody likes a snitch though, no matter how glorious and white knightly the cause seems. There's certain things that just aren't your business and other people's relationships is one of them. There's looking out for your mates and there's being an interfering busy-body and with something like this, you'll always be perceived as the latter.

Unless, you only have like one friend in the world, it's safe to say that eventually enough people will find out about this bird cheating and the rumour will get back to him, that's how these things work best. A well known rumour from an indistinct source is always infinitely preferable to being confronted by a mate sticking his beak in.

That's the thing I don't understand since I know for a fact that my friends would want me to tell them if something like this happened. I guess I don't have friends that would rather live in ignorance. It's a shame that most people do from the looks of this thread.

The problem sorted sorted itself out, he caught her in the act.

Last night we went out, he wasn't going to come because he had work in the morning, but he agreed to pick us up. When the time came that we wanted to go home we were in the club and we asked to come in for about 5 minutes while we say goodbye and finish our drinks. When he was waiting I saw her dancing with a girlfriend, I told him she was over there. "She said she wasn't coming out tonight. I know what'll be funny." He then pulled out his phone and called her while he was watching her, he was slowly walking over as to surprise her when she was talking, but she looked at her phone and cancelled the call. Then some other bloke came over to the 2 girls with drinks in hand, then she started kissing the bloke.

My friend just ran up there and punched him right in the face, he fell back knocked over a table full of drinks and fell to the ground. He didn't get up, he was knocked out. She tried to apologise and hug upto the him, but he just walked away. Loads of people in the bar were cheering.

Needless to say we had to find another way home, but I spoke to him today and he seemed pretty okay. He said he kinda had a hunch something was going on, but didn't want to believe it. He was pretty satisfied after I told him the guy was out for about 10 minutes.

But yeah, I guess I got off the hook a bit. I had made my mind up I was going to tell him, I just didn't know how I was going to bring it up.

Yeah, I have to say I feel pretty bad for the guy. He probably didn't even know that she had a BF...

(Glad that things worked out between you and your friend. No matter which way you look at it, that's a damned hard decision to make.)

Glad things got sorted out with little hate going around (poor bloke) although I must say I would've told him straight up about the situation. If he didn't believe me I would just step down and lay low until he found out himself. He'd pretty much come back to you and apologize for not believing you.

I had a similar situation happen to one of my best buddies but I was the only one who went up to him and tell him. When he found out I wasn't lying and the rest of his buddies didn't tell him, he pretty much told them 'talk to me again and you'll regret it'. Now we're just that closer as pals and he knows he can rely on me when shit hits the fan.

Edit: I'm pretty surprised that most of you wouldn't tell your friends about the situation. Either you guys aren't less friends and more acquaintances or just plain and simple, bad friends.
