Or maybe it's not evil science at all! Maybe it's just a horribly inefficient way of ridding the world of those stupid Christian Children's Fund people. |
Maybe black people are four times more receptive to the T-virus. They sure look a lot smarter than the white trash zombies from your daddy's Resident Evil game of yore.

EDIT: GOD DAMN IT. |
Ahahaha, got you AGAIN. God damn I'm good.

Wonder if anyone would be complaining if we were still in the age of pixels and sprites. Is it only offensive because games are so life-like these days?
Also, I wonder, can the T-virus be spread through sex? Chris Redfield might be fucked (and by fucked I of course mean outnumbered, although maybe...plot device!). |
Max--they'd save that for RE69....
You know, she'd probably bitch if no RE game ever used any black people at all. |

If every Resident Evil game didn't have black people nobody would care, because Black Supremacists are too busy wearing nice suits to care about video games.

Fuck you lady. "Racist" my ass, RE5 is going where no other game has gone before, and we should be thankful that Capcom is using this game to push the envelope and answer important racial questions* in today's overly PC society.
*"So if the zombie virus makes all these white people look really pale, then what.... what does a black zombie look like?" A: Brownish-grey. |

Meanwhile, I don't get how this game could be racist. From that perspective, RE4 is racist as well, because its an american killing spaniards. (nevermind the fact that they can kill you.) It seems that perhaps the person who wrote this blog has no idea what she is talking about and simply wanted to bitch. All in all, I think cooler minds will prevail in this situation. Its FAR too early in the development cycle to be jumping to such aimless conclusions. Its not like the game is even close to being completed yet. |
What about white people saying this game is racist and promotes hate crimes? At least he makes better argument than that black woman's blog. I like his movie better too.

How do you know he's white.
Fuckin racist. it really does look like Aunt Jemima though |

Sounds like the guy's never read up on the status of Africa in recent years. "LOOK AT THE CONDITION OF THIS TOWN. HOW IS THIS AN ACCURATE DEPICTION. WHERE ARE THE CHOCOLATE RIVERS AND GUMDROPS THAT FALL FROM THE SKY, CAPCOM?" |
This whole thing makes me weep. I hate how fucking stupid people can be sometimes.

I. . .
Am not going to ask is that photoshopped. That clearly is a black woman more buffer and built than Arnold Swarzenegger ever was in his life time. I wonder how much steriods/testosterome she had to take in to pull that off. |
Although we all saw this coming a mile away, I can't blame people for getting the wrong idea about this game. It WAS extremely tactless of Capcom to present the game the way they did. I'm sure Capcom has some very important, colored, NPCs (and possibly even playable characters, one way or another), that appear in game, but the fact of the matter is that no such hint is given in the trailer shown at E3. We all know they don't mean to be racist, but the fact of the matter is that it was bound to be misinterpreted.
I also have to add that I don't agree on the "no one will buy this game on racist grounds", though. Sadly, realisticly speaking, there WILL be people doing this, but there's no reason to blame the game, or the developers for that matter, for being racist. They're just trying out new borders and boundaries, aiming at making an original, never before tried, setting for the game. Additionally, saying that kids will be taught racist views via this game is an absolute outrage. The very reason kids will be playing this game in the first place will be because their parents are ignorant enough to allow them to do so. If kids see the game the wrong way, playing it because they want to kill "blacks", it's not going to be because they were taught to do so through the game. More likely, they'll have had this view long before they ever heard about RE5. |
Ahaha. The Aunt Jemina thing makes me lol. His argument went to shit when he used the word "irregardless." That's not a fucking word, and it makes him sound like shit, among so many other things.
He even points out that there're no Spanish people! S'only racist if it's just Africans. If there were Spanish people for the white man to kill, everything would be just fine. |
That woman just wants attention, like every journalist. They should just back off and let the game take place wherever the fuck it wants to take place.

I dunno about ya'll, but a horde of angry black dudes coming after me scares me more than a Spanish lynching mob. Scary game in the making...
:tinfoilhat: SouthJag -- Aw. I say "irregardless" often. I see the grammar error, but it just comes natural to me ;( edit: Just like why I said "natural" instead of "naturally". o wul. |
I just hope Capcom stands tall and doesn't give in to the bullshit.
|
Don't worry, all the people shouting RACIST at this game will be pleased to know that the ending consists of one of the black sub-characters gets it on with Sherry, knocks her up and then leaves her to go sell some drugs in another state.
That, and the other sub-character, a black woman, goes on to marry a successful black man, who only sees it fit that blacks marry blacks. All will be well. |
