I'd bend over and take it from the first person who makes a decent Cthulhu movie.
Interesting to see where this is going. I've always considered Davey Jones as the prelude to a Cthulhu-flick, so I got my hopes up. |

But the dragging pictures on the site is cool. I just fling them around and put the girls on the bottom left and the guy is on the top right so it looks like the girls are admiring his downing skills..... |
The idea seems pretty cool....to mess up your mind like that. The monster being a cluthlu doesn't seems a bad idea at all.
Anyways, here's what Grail was talking about (The two women): Spoiler:
Monster with horns Spoiler:
I didn't photoshoped the pics, I found them in: http://ethanhaasthoughts.blogspot.com/ |
Teaser is officially up at apple.com
http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/11808/ Also, JJ Abrams say that the Ethan Haas site has nothing to do with the movie.. whaaa... source then again.. He could be lying to us. |
The mystery has been cracked (not by me)
http://www.slusho.jp/index.html Not even joking. Check this screenshot from about halfway into the trailer, after the news report: http://victor645.googlepages.com/slusho.jpg |
Just watched the trailer again. No big deal, but I discovered an Xbox 360 on the desk on the left at the 0:45 mark. ;-)
Mystery cracked: THIS IS EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 2017 - THE MOVIE |
edit: nevemrind..
|
A Giant WORM? OH come on... that's the lamest possible giant monster next to Baby Godzilla.
|
LOL. That's what I thought, but it was a joke.
Some a still referring it to "The Parasite". However, still nothing confirmed. |
Oh I see the edit now. Well still I was definetly drawn in when there was that explosion. It looked at first like some lame romance or 'road-trip' movie, but then I was starting to think through the commercial of what it could be about.
Heroes, Lost, Godzilla and even the generic "giant earthquake" movie all went through my mind. Can't wait to see more. The rumors about it being related to Ctuhulu has me pretty interested. |

Am I missing something as well regarding a giant worm? |
I thought at first this was suppose to be D-War which also seems like a cool monster movie but the story is just a little bleh ~_~
This movie looks interesting so I hope they release a full trailer soon since there hasn't been any good monster movies since The Host. |

I'm guessing the movie is about a drink with a secret ingredient that fucks things up and makes things really big |

God I hope Cthulu is in this movie.
PLEASE let Cthulu be in this movie and not some stupid fucking worm. |
CTHULHU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Swoooooons*:cthulhu::tpg: (sorry, it's been a while since I've been here, and I only just noticed the cthulhu emoticon... couldn't resist... cthulhu demanded it, and I dare not question :eagletear: ) |
New picture is up at http://www.1-18-08.com/
four people, huge bright light behind them...can't see anything with the picture yet, but go at it people! |
Ok, a lot of people have been dissecting the blogs and whatnot that have popped up around this film. Lots of morse code, sandscrit, things of that nature have popped up. Lovecraft does have some influence in at least the viral marketing of this film, though that doesn't mean this is going to be a film about Cthulhu (though things such as "Only 8-1-07 matters to our cause..." do point towards the case of a Cthulhu connection in some manner (the date being one of the Dates worked out by people with too much time on their hands as a very likely time that Cthulhu would awaken)). There is also talk of J.J. Abrams letting something slip about a seamonster, though if it was said, it was very quickly removed from the interview.
I got bored and read the comments from three of the posts at the http://ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com/ blog. Examples of some of the random shit that have been worked out of the puzzles and games from the blogs would be like this little gem here. Quote:
So far I'm enjoying the fact that the people in charge of the viral marketing are insulting people and no one has really noticed it yet. Utter brilliance!:D EDIT; a blogger by the screenname of Pete put up an interesting idea. I'll quote what he said. Quote:

First thing I thought was Half-Life, although I doubt that's true. Alien invasion of earth or the Seven Hour Wars told through film? And first person footage would fit a very Half-Life style. Maybe it's just me.

A forth picture is up at 1-18-08.com Seems that there is a military man escorting people out of the area or something, the picture is slightly blurred.

According to my cousin, a lot of people think that it might be a Voltron movie. Apparently they get that from a line in the trailer right before the Statue of Liberty's head is thrown; a guy shouting "It's a lion! It's moving!"
He also pointed out how the destruction is very reminiscent of Lavos. Huge dome-shaped explosion, fireballs falling from the sky, etc. He doesn't think it's a Chrono Trigger movie, of course, but he thought it was kinda funny. |
Quote:
That, and already they have debunked several theories, even Cthuhlu since they said the monster is completely original, and organic. On top of that, a different company owns the rights to Voltron, so that's out. |
Dammit, it's not going to be Cthulu? :/
|

So, if we take the fact that Cthuhlu is indeed an almighty creature of destruction, bringing the end of the world with it, one would think that there would be no survivors in the world period. Then again, Cthuhlu probably has never taken on Hilary Clinton either. |
