My computer couldn't support it, it was lagging like hell, but my gamepad worked. AxisPad. and I even tried with my PS2 controller (with EMS adaptor) and it works.

I used Joy2Key as well :p ... but then it worked fine!

Well you can always just play a console version *Shrug*, I had no problem with the Keyboard layout, its just I used Joypad when possible, as a personal preference.
