Gosh, is this the oldest track ever to be nominated in SotW? And going by how L.O.L. was released in 2000, Sakamoto must have been around for a very, very long time in the music scene (confirmed with Wiki).

I'm fairly sure it's easily the oldest track ever in SotW; I think the oldest track prior to this was The Resurrection of Dragon from All Over Xanadu (second place in Week 55), which was released in 1987.

Sakamoto also wrote the opening theme for Seiken Densetsu 4, whose album was released just this year, so he's still doing stuff today.
