I try to be as polite as possible most of the time, but of course there are several things that annoy me to no end, like stupid women who actually get offended when you hold the door open for them, or Japanese politeness, because it's as fake as it can get (I don't really need a thank you because you sat next to me on the bus for 2 minutes, or endless apologies for being a minute late).

I do expect people to show me at least the courtesy that I try to show them, when they just threat me like shit in return, I will bite my tongue once, but I will lose my politeness when you keep being an asshole.

My manners are as expected, i say please and thank you and all the rest of that stuff. i think how people use manners is really on how they are brought up by their parents.

When i was young my parents always taught me manners so i suppose it becomes custom in a way, as i always say manners, they say alot about people and they don't cost anything.

I consider myself to be polite and respectful to others. It's the way I was brought up, always being told to treat other people the same way that you would like to be treated.

I believe that parents have a certain responsibility to teach their children good manners, to say please and thank you and have respect for other people.

However, I will admit that there are some times when people can be extremely rude, both in terms of what they say and their attitude. That's usually when I sometimes struggle in terms of respect to others. Luckily, that's been a rarity in my lifetime, but no doubt I'll come across someone like that some day.

I'm almost nauseatingly tactful, actually.
