"Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary" ( http://www.sendspace.com/file/l0l58p ) is a vocal album, 'tis great stuff. :3 Although... it's not VGM... -posted before noticing what forum she's in- >_>;; It really does rock, though. D:

Persona 3 Disc 2 Track 19. The Battle for Everyone's Souls. And this track is gonna be arranged for Burn My Dread -Reincarnation- Album, and I wonder if Meguro will keep the vocal part.. I hope so. ^_^

I really love Ito voice in "Hepatica~Kosmos" Xenosaga EpIII. Greatest choire song I've ever heard.:)
|
Iyasate to Iyahate (Alpha and Omega) from Xenogears. The solo soprano does some voice gymnastics.
I second the motion for Pan's Labyrinth. Got stuck in my head for days. (here is a yousendit link) "Upon the Melodies of the Moon" from Kirite. The some songs from dothack//G.U. is also nice. This is a long shot but GensoSuikoden Opening is kinda nice..(not Currents). Image Theme of Xenosaga II (?) Hopeful Weeds (?) Kinda sounds like Iyasate to Iyahate but lighter Sailing to the World and Reincarnation (From the album Sailing to the World) Those are I can think of for now I think I know what you mean. Its the type of songs that you want to sing to but just can't.....or something like that dang it is hard :gonk: Most of these songs are guesses EDIT: Just remebered I also suggest some songs from Cirque du Soleil. Flight of Icarus I think is the name of the one I like |

Agreed this theme is so powerful especially at the end when the crescendo kicks in - listen carefully and you'll hear the guy really giving it his all. Not sure what is sung at the every end - sounds arabic But I would have liked it a little longer -- more oomph. :) The Beautiful Woman of Alent (Grandia) is another emotive tune. Pure Bliss |
Muria from Atlantis -The Lost Tales-
I'm certain you'd like it. |
Modestly, I think you'll find Eden Normal, my old SotW nom, to be right up this genre's alley :)

06-susie_stevens_logan-world_trade_center_choral_piece_(soprano_soloist). mp3 Both from the movie World Trade Center, composed by Craig Armstrong. There's not much vocal in the first one, but it's quite pretty I think. |
"Finale" from the movie The Abyss, composed by Alan Silvestri. Though, that's not entirely choral, but the the vocals do sound very nice.
"Nivaos Π" by E.S. Posthumus on their new Cartographer album is another good one. They might be actually be saying something, but I sure can't tell what. As for VGM, the la-la version of "Can Still See the Light" from Phantasy Star Online would do nicely. |

How about:
Antissa by E.S. Posthumus. End Title ~The Best is Yet to Come~ Metal Gear Solid - I think these lyrics are comprehensible, but foreign enough? |

00:00 - 00:30 seconds in this video have some haunting voices.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_1-Bb_KaDQ I will suggest a few examples (will maybe upload these samples tomorrow if people are not familiar with them) Tears of the Sun - Expanded Score ~ Sniper / Border Post (more the mysterious / echoey vocals in the first half, but also the more intense / emotional pieces of the second - Epic even if you arn't fond of the vocals) 24 Season 6 - Complete Soundtrack ~ Fayed's Death (Not just suggesting that because I ripped it ;)) Planet Earth Soundtrack ~ Diving Into The Darkness, Namibia - The Lions And The Oryx, Plains High And Low, and Tibet (Reprise) / Close Tomb Raider Legend - Main Theme Splinter Cell Double Agent - Iceland Extraction I just caught the end of Mission Impossible 2, and was interested in the vocals that play when the camera cuts to Thandy Newton's character standing at the edge of the cliff, before cutting back to the fight. I also really like the vocals, male and female, in J'Attends, on the Black Hawk Down soundtrack. So, i'm open to suggestions :) |
Seinaru Inori by composer Hikaru Nanase on the first Chrno Crusade soundtrack is pretty.
http://astralromance.com/lawl/05 - Seinaru Inori.mp3 If I come across more, I'll add them. |
