I have had a few weird experiences when I was a kid, but not sure if they were supernatural or hallucinations, so...

Anyways, one very odd thing that happened was that a friend and I were driving out to another friend's house at night (when it was completely dark). We didn't know where we were going, and were just listening to music on the radio and travelling slowly on these backroads around this trailer-part type complex. All of a sudden we both notice the same thing straight ahead in the middle of the road: utter darkness. I'm not talkin' fog or something like that, I mean something that seemed like a presence or a portal of some sort. (For me it seemed more like a portal, which was more frightening than if it would have been a presence.) Anyhow, my friend stops the car (without me saying anything) and we both start to say that we should turn around. We talked about it and we both saw something, just beyond the reach of the headlights. Whatever it was, it was pure evil - I haven't sensed an evil like that before or since. That we both separately noticed it simultaneously leads me to believe there was something there...

Hey speculative, that sounds reaaally scary like the edge of silent hill :gonk: I cant believe how many ppl here have seen apparations. I dont rememebr clearly but my brother reminded me of something that happened when i was really young. I used to have this bedroom right next to a tree, and of course when it was night the branches scratched against the window and the shadow was like long creepy fingers, so I was generaly creeped out at night. One night I woke up to see something standing over my crib, just leaning over my crib and staring at me. But its hazy i can only really remember the emotion not the visual and i told my brother the next day i think i was about 4. And i think thats the only time I have seen something rather than just sensing it.

I suppose I can name one that occurred at a recent funeral I attended in December. My cousin and I were alone in one of the small private rooms before the service, and there was a window next to us. She had been talking about her father (my uncle who had just passed away), and we both stopped for a moment when the window curtains moved in a sweeping motion. The curtains were heavy as well, so a light breeze would have had a hard time causing it to move like it did.

My relatives have a lot of ghost stories they enjoy telling me about as well. One of my grandmothers continues to claim that she still sees my grandfather near their alcohol cabinet whenever his birthday approaches.

I have a few of my own experiences.

one of them happens whenever i stay overnight at my Ex's parent's house. Just a brief history of the house before i go on with the story. The House itself has been with their family since the late 1800's and besides a few modern inside rennovations, it is still basically the same house from when it was built in the 1800's. Also, one of my ex's dad's father's brother whose room i always am asked to sleep in was killed in Iwojima .

Generally whenever i crash over there, i always take thier two dogs; Pochi and Chibita to sleep with me because i get an extremely unfriendly vibe from the room. I Literally have to sleep with my back to the wall and have an entire view of the room because whenever i don't, i instantly feel a strong presence/gaze being cast upon me that sends shivers down my spine. This happens nearly everytime, but it ended up escalating to downright fucked up one night.

So i end up spending O-bon at their house ( Anyone who is japanese, know's O-bon is a creepy fucking time ). O-bon is essentially a japanese traditional week-long event in August where essentially the dead come to visit the family and the family pays respect to the dead by offerings, cleaning, praying, etc.

The last night of O-bon, i was getting ready to crash after taking a shower. I went downstairs to round up pochi and chibita, but the moment they got upstars, they refused to take one step into the room i was staying in and the hair shot staight up on their backs. So i just brushed this off and went to sleep while having a nightlight function set on the main light in the room. Every 2-3 hours i would be awoken by poking feelings in my chest region and each time i did wake up, the nightlight was switched off. I was creeped the fuck out, but was tired and just wanted to get some sleep. When i woke up in the morning, I saw the closet was wide open, all of my possessions like books, music, etc that had any english on it whatsoever was outside my room and the door was locked from the inside as well as a picture of the deceased family member was sitting in a upright position next to the door.

I freaked the fuck out and ran as fast as i could downstairs with the photo in my hand and asked them where it came from and they said it was stored in the closet in my room. My tales i told them of that night creeped them out and since then, i've never had to sleep in that room nor will i ever again.

Anyways i'm too creeped out retelling this event, so my other story is gonna have to wait.

Praying to stop rain and it stopped.
Hearing the voice of GOD. I only heard the voice once. The other times were strong motivations of conscience with instructions.

Audible message: You are the hero of the story of you life. Go and tell your parents you love them.

Mental message: Choose the life you know & die. Choose the life you can have & live.

How do I know it was GOD? It was the way the message just broke in to my train of thought. Frightening to say the least.

I have been meditating for a few months now and have been noticing some strange phenomena. It occurs when I am in very deep states of meditation and relaxation. Near the third eye, I have been noticing a burning sensation that is almost delicious. It feels that my whole head opens up and a strange wave like sensation envelopes it. When in this state, I feel removed but completely aware. I have recently learned that this is a rather accelerated form of meditative consciousness which is often referred to in buddhism as 'Jhana', or 'meditative absorption'. The amazing thing is that this isn't often experienced unless decades of meditation are practiced.

I thought the experience was quite supernatural. It felt almost as if something was pouring spiritual energy into my soul.

Bernard Black Feb 16, 2007 07:21 PM

One time I recall when everyone else in the house was out. From the moment I woke up that morning I sensed something was wrong. I've always had a feeling that something is watching me in my room, some spirit that didn't wish harm on me, but certainly scrutinized my every move in that room. It was more intense on that day. I knew there was something in the house besides myself. It got to the point where the feeling was so intense that I picked up the carving knife from the rack and tried to chase the damn thing around the house. I actually nearly answered the door to the postman with the knife before I rememberd myself. Apparently, season 4 of MASH has a calming effect on me ^_^.

Maybe it was Shiva?

I once had a supernatural experience at a punk gig. After around 20 or so shots of Jägermeister I made my merry way to the bathroom, only to recoil in horror when I discovered that it was not my cheery, boyish face that appeared in the mirror, but a wild-eyed demon with a devilish grin fixed on his mouth and some smudged lipstick on his cheek. I ran out of the bathroom screaming and convinced my equally merry friend that there was a demon living in the mirror. He took a look and agreed with me, only he saw the demon as having black hair rather than blond, being around 3 inches taller than the demon I saw, and had more of a angry rather than frenzied look on his face. I still wake up at nights covered with sweat at the memory of that awful being who plagued me that nigt, and any other night which involved heavy drinking.

:eagletear:

So much for taking naps. I am just relaxing and I was in a sorta drowsy state. This black entity then suddenly rushes into my mind with a shrill scream. Odd...

I have had a fair share of supernatural experience.

The earliest most note-worthy experience I had was when I was nine. A relative I had never known, my great-great-grandmother, had just died. She had written a will, but told no one where she had placed it. The whole family was in a greedy panic, trying to see who inherited what. The adults were all at eachother's throats, especially my mother and auntie. They were fighting over some dishware or something, I can't quite remember. For several weeks, they tore through her house. I think it was during the second week that I was finally brought to the house because my mother couldn't find anyone to watch me and my stepfather was at work. I remember that there was a lot of chaos, so I spent my time playing "by myself" in the front room. I remember an old lady coming to play with me and at one point, she took me into the kitchen where my mother was, quite out of her mind. The lady told me that her will was in with the cookie pans in the bottom, far-left cupboard. I told my mother, and that was where she found it soon after.

Another experience that I can't forget is when I was fourteen, just before I moved in with my auntie. It was around 11:00 pm, and I needed to go downstairs for food. I had only gotten a few steps down when I suddenly felt very cold and I had this feeling that I really did not want to go down there. By the time I got downstairs, it was freezing, and the heater was on. I thought that something technical was wrong with the POS. I ducked into the kitchen and saw a silhouette on the patio leading to the basement, and it wasn't my mother because she was asleep. It moved down the stairs and into the basement, and I hear this really loud sound, kind of like wood being torn from a building, or something. I made my food as quickly as possible (ramen). A few minutes after that task was completed, my bowl exploded. My only explanation: poltergeist.

I seen many ghosts when I was small and a teenager, my most memorable one was when I was 15, I was climbing a tree and heard a loud thump, when I looked I saw a man dressed in all black with his face hidden run to a bush, I ran to the bush but found no one.

Today I hear voices and seem to have the ability to feel when spirits are around.

I always was facinated by the meaning of dreams, and especially lucid dreams. After studying the phenomenon for a while and keeping a diary of my dreams I had what I first thought to be a lucid dream.
What I felt that moment was incredible, I can't describe it. As if I was thrown in a higher level of consciousness, everything was so clear and intense. A stroke of pure happiness...
But, since I can't remember anything else but that feeling, I'm quite sceptic (A characteristic of lucid dreams is a very clear remembrance of the occured events..)
Was it real or was it just a dream (in a dream)? Perhaps it was just faked after being so into the subject for a while. But how can your mind fake a totally new feeling, because that's absolutely what it was.

The only thing that comes near a supernatural experience in my case:erm:

Huh? That is an abnormal state of mind? That I didn't know. That sensation occurs quite frequently for me, but I have always considered it a "normal" thing.

I had experienced two of these.

The first one (which I don't really recall, because it happened when I'm still 2 years old) happened when my aunt bought a weird-looking statue from a sacred place and put it on my house for a few days. I accidentally touched the statue, and guess what? I got possessed. i couldn't eat or drink anything for a few days. Luckily, the spirit that possessed me was a good one, so she (yes, she!) released me under certain conditions, which was some good prayings (Buddhists show know these kind of exorcism).

The second one happened just a few weeks ago. I was in my room with my sister, and the lights were turned off. I was laying in my bed in a position where I can see the window, and my sister laid on the opposite direction. We chatted for a while when a strange silhoutte of a woman walked past the window. I felt scared afterwards, but didn't dare to tell my sister; she would call me a chicken. I talked to my mother about this the day after, and she said that maybe it was a silhoutte of someone on the street, projected on the curtain. But there were two eerie things that keeps bothering my mind. The first one: the silhoutte walked awesomely fast as it was floating, and motionlessly while we humans walk in motion. The second, the window is high, so an average human would only reach the middle of the window. Instead, the silhoutte nearly reached the top of the window.

I never saw that silhoutte again, and I wish not to see it again. I think it's a succubus, but wtf. I never know.

My house has spirits.

Atleast, I think it does.

In the old layout of my room when the back faced the wall when I was on my laptop, I saw a figure walk past my door, in siliouette. It looked male.
But there was no one else upstairs in my house. As I thought it was just my brother going downstairs, but he was not.

Also, when I have been in how my room is now, I have seen black flashes on the stairs out of the door (on my left). I thought it was my cat at the time. But when I turned my head to look, nothing is there.

I've also heard whispers at night time. But they have died down recently.
