It's the same thing for HDLoader, the support is wide reaching, but not everything works.
And NTSC is 60Hz |
Bottom line is, as long as your TV has a SCART connector, there's a 99% chance it will display NTSC/60Hz just fine. If not, you're pretty much out of luck because European TVs can't display 60Hz properly through coaxial or composite cables.

http://list.ps2hd.com/ Check that site to see if the games you like are compatible with HDLoader. |
My current tv has a scart connection but can't handle 60hz/NTSC signals. The screen will be in grayscale and trembling. Basically every tv that you could buy over here in the past has had a scart connection for gaming consoles. But there was always an indication that said the tv could only display 50hz or that said the tv could display 60hz or more. The scart never really made the difference.
HDloader does support the games I want to play. I'm gonna have to sleep on this... |
I don't mean to get off topic or take this thread in a whole new direction, but is HDLoader superior to a mod chip? I have two PS2's - one modded and one unmodded.
I always thought that not being able to play online with a modded PS2 was kind of a pain (is that still the case?). Can you get online with HDLoader? |

I don't think there are any new TVs today that don't support NTSC (60Hz).
BTW, will Swap Magic allow imported PS1 games to be played on the PS2? |
Never.
