Unfortunetly, those who are apprehensive about asking someone out aren't going to be able to flip a switch telling them to think "ok this is just coffee." I think that ability usually comes from experience. You learn to become laid back concerning relationships when you've had ones in the past that failed. At least, that's what happened for me.
