I doubt the game can stand up to Ace Combat in terms of story or music, to be honest.
However, that Impact Cam thing looks badass. Heatseeker seems to be Burnout meets Ace Combat. Since I'm a huge fan of fast arcade-style games, I'll definitely to give it a shot. |

I think Ace Combat is comparable to this game, for both good and bad. I'm looking for opinions of what we've seen so far. |
Just in case your interested, there is a new trailer of heatseeker up at IGN that shows off the motion controls. It showcases the gfx a little more than previous videos but it's still hard to tell what the game really looks like, if it has that GC port low res look or if they are actually smoothing it over for the wii version at least a little bit with AA using the added horsepower. This would be easier to tell if the vid was captured in 480P but ohh well it isn't. Game actually looks fun, and while it may never be an Ace Combat, it might be ok. I hope it doesn't suck.

Why they don't really use higher res screenshots of the Wii games is beyond me. I'm looking forward to holding the Wiimote and the Nunchuck pulling back as if I were trying to pull the plane up and prevent crashing!

Wow, actually from the hands on at IGN this game is sounding better, I am starting to become a little more optimistic about it. They claim that it controls very well.

Considering this is being made by the guys who put out the rather excellent Heroes of the Pacific, I can only hope that this has the same level of quality that the other game did.
That said, I'm still gonna rent it first. The Wii controls look like they'll be fine, but being multiplatform, it makes me curious just how well it'll be implemented. |
I know there will be some rig to merge the wiimote and the 'chuck together, the controls would just pwn then
