I hate Ultimate Warrior and everything he stands for. I just wish he'd die already.

The Ultimate Warrior comes across as a very fucked up individual to me. I watched the 'Self Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior' DVD, and after watching that, and then looking at his site, I don't know what's truth and what isn't.

Despite what he may deny, Warrior (as is his legal name) DOES owe the WWE an awful lot in terms of getting him on the map and getting noticed.

Spoiler:
Angle wins tonight, kind of. There was alot of talk about the fact that people didnt say Angle's name as world heavyweight champion, meaning that Angle would drop to Taker. This was not the case, Mark Henry costs undertaker the match tonight leading into taker v. Henry at Mania.

I dont get why certain wrestlers with barely any ability at all...can get so huge. Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior...have to be the the two largest cheered wrestlers of all time...and they both suck! AJ Styles could outwrestle both of them with his feet and hands tied together, yet alot of people barely know who he is.

Its sad that Edge's title run has been turned into a gimmick against him..."Transitional Champion"...I was hoping he would of at least gone to Wrestlemania. I would like to see Triple H get it back...contrary to how much people hate him...he is very good in the ring, makes alot of people look good, can sell moves great, has great ring prescence, and cares about this business. His promos are the same, but he is also entertaining. His comment abotu Cena's move being that he pumps up his reebok's was great. I think his ability is overshadowed by him being known for marrying Stephanie McMahon...too bad.

CapturedPenguin Mar 3, 2006 08:57 PM

I wish WWE would use the term transitional champion correctly... the original script was to have Taker face Henry at Mania and it looks like that is playing out; this way Taker keeps his Mania streak alive. Finally, SNME is looking nice. I like how WWE is booking a handicap main event since its yet another shot in the face to Smackdown as being the lesser brand.

khan0plinger Mar 3, 2006 09:43 PM

Im curious, is the SNME a one time thing...or will this happene every so often throughout the year? Be nice if it was like the old WCW Clash of Champions

Crash "Long-Winded Wrong Answer" Landon Mar 3, 2006 10:09 PM

I have a question.

WWE made a big to-do about having Marty Jeanetty on hand to kiss Vinnie's ass. Of course, the HBK twist was scripted as precedent for the Vince/Shawn fight, and the HBK/Jeanetty connection made loose sense.

But I read tonight that WWE has severed all associations with Jeanetty. But no explanation was given. Does anyone know the story here?

It seems a little suspicious for WWE to go to the trouble of roping Jeanetty into an appearance and possibly a comeback, only to drop him like a 40 pound stone into the Potomac river. I would guess that a backstage conflict got in the way but, alas, I've no way of knowing.

Also, I am mighty sick of ALL the usual World Champions. Cena's persona of an ignorant wigger is obnoxious. TripleH is the most overrated wrestler since Lex Luger's reign of arrogance. Kurt is skilled, sure, but he's also flat-out boring.

The other usual suspects - Undertaker, Rock, HBK, Hogan, Stone Cold - they've had their time in the spotlight. Even having them as champion is predictable and not particularly compelling. I'm just sick of having all the prime matchups revolve around these 8 stars, like some sort of bizarre inbreeding ritual.

I enjoyed Edge's brief stint. I knew it wouldn't last, but it was nice to see the title on someone new, someone who arguably deserved it as much as any of the top-card names.

What I'd love to see is someone completely unpredictable take the belt and hold on to it for a little while. I'm sure the overmuscled egos of Cena and HHH would bitch up a storm, but I am quite certain that the fans - the people who make or break WWE's success - would be excited to see new blood in the title cards.

Which story would capture your interest more?

"HHH Pedigree'd Cena twice to capture the belt, again."

OR

"Cena tapped out when Eugene put him into the Sharpshooter."

Even if we all know it's a novelty ride that won't last forever, a few months of, say, Viscera, Carlito, Funaki or Scotty 2 Hotty as World Champ would be a hell of a ride.

dagget Mar 3, 2006 10:40 PM

I don't know what the deal with Jeanetty is, to be honest. He came back, very briefly as a "one-time Rockers Reunion" with Michaels.

I'd love to see Eugene make Cena tap out. That would be gold. (and totally unexpected) The problem is, the writing team. Headed by two people: Vince and Steph. Anything that gets submitted has to be approved by them first. Or actually, I think it's it has to be approved by Steph to make it to Vince. She actually lost her mind one time when someone brought a storyline straight to Vince.

There's so much potential in storylines to make it great again, but they're all shot down. Either one won't showcase Triple H enough (because you know he has to be the center of attention or the world will implode) or it's just an entirely shitty story. Vince's requirements for his writers are "TV writing experience. Sit-Coms and Soap Operas." Only recently did he make it a requirement that writers must have knowledge of 20 years+ wrestling experience. That all boiled down to before Hawk died and LoD were in an angle for the Tag Titles, a few of his writers were like "Who's the Legion of Doom?".

As far as the SNME thing, I think it's like what Smackdown was. A show special to see what kind of ratings it would grab. If the ratings are good enough, then SNME will be back on the air.

Speaking of AJ Styles has anyone else noticed that since AJ Styles has come to the WWE he has been a boring announcer? I remember back when he was announcing for ECW and he kept you on the edge of your seat with the stuff he would say like ENNZZZZZZZ EEEE GEEEEEEDEEEEEE.

However I can't blame him for not being that exciting. Hell WWE lost it's excitement years ago.

No worries, I just needed an opportunity to pull that pic out of the bag :P

Slash Mar 4, 2006 01:47 AM

Actually, Joey Styles was told to "tone" down his style since, If I remember correctly (since I never really got to watch ECW) he was mostly doing the stuff. But you have Lawler and Coach bickering and blah blah blahing so you haven't gotten to hear the OH MY GOD all the time. Again, its WWE's fuckup.

And how about Mark Henry's 400 lb wuss splash. It would have been better if he picked Taker up and threw him into the table or something.

Joey is a good announcer, you don't really hear his "Oh My Gods" anymore as Im sure Vince told him not to do that. If you watch ECW ONS, you will hear him say it numerous times...but on WWE programming only once in a blue moon , probably so it can be used as a selling point. He is still the best play by play announcer there is...since JR is out of the picture. I think having Coach there though brings the level of respect down alot.

Id like to see a shocking championship win...having Edge win it was shocking as I figured that the whole time he had money in the bank...he boasted about it so much that he would of blew it when he got it. Eugene as any champion would just be a no. Now Carlito...that would be cool. Especially if he won it using that twisting back flip senton he did on RVD. Or Paul Birchell, because Pirates are cool. and so are moonsault into rock bottom finishers that WWE will not let him do.

Slash Mar 4, 2006 02:42 AM

Actually it was pretty easy to predict when edge would use it and I heard rumors that Burchill..isn't Burchill..>< He's like working at OVW while someone else plays him. Only way to know I guess is the Fujiwa Armbar and his C-4 move.

I also managed to find limewire pics of candice michelle and I gotta say..whoever did her work failed...as far as breasts go.

Son of Wiseness Mar 4, 2006 12:22 PM

On Saturday Night's Main Event HHH and John Cena will beat Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio & Kurt Angle in my opinon.

Slash Mar 4, 2006 03:07 PM

This will surprise a whole lot of none of you but...
Spoiler:
Marty Janetty's severed ties are a shoot

DBCE Slayer Mar 4, 2006 04:35 PM

Who thinks that HHH is gonna get the title back at Wrestlemainia XXII? I am not a big fan of him but I just have this gut feeling that he's gonna get it back for some odd reason. :(

I'm not familiar with that terminology. Could you explain?

That would be weak about Burchill, he did perform the c4 on a velocity show against someone once. It was pretty sad because you could hear the crowd pop with a gasp and then cheer, while the announcers did nothing to sell the move except "nice move there by paul birchell to pick up the win".

There was some softcore porn that Candice Michelle did...at least it claimed to be her. Kinda looked like her...I remember looking it up when I first saw her show up in WWE.

Slash Mar 5, 2006 02:06 AM

Hey look, Norman Smiley was on TNA.

alkaline Mar 5, 2006 02:47 AM

Slash: What is the official word as to how Marty Janetty pissed Vince off this time? I remember the last time this happened -- Marty getting another shot, he got a DUI soon after.

Slash Mar 5, 2006 02:49 AM

Marty Janetty refueses to kiss vinces ass, vince gets pissed, HHH doesn't want Janetty put over Janetty gets fired...forever.

Ah. So typical WWE reasons :shh:

I like HHH's in ring work. . but his actual influence on the business these days is ridiculous. I suppose it does come with the territory. .

Used to be a huge fan of HHH, I'm not now, although I still want him to take the title from that white rapper.
