Sure, its actually a lot faster then for me to do something from scratch (usually) . What do you want me to color?

I was kinda busy working on a commission, I'll be starting school again (after a long while) tomorrow. >.>;;

On packrat's request, after moping around for a few days, I wasn't able to come up with a good "etheral being" design, Although I wanted to do somethiing original for something like this, I guess I'd better get started on that Belldandy. However, here is something that I am doing for this:
It is a method that I learned somewhere and I'll be using this to design a character for this image.

Woah, those are some neato silhouettes you've got there. Both C and D look pretty good, in my opinion.
I would lean more towards C, mostly because D appears to be "battle-ready." If you could incorporate some of the wing-like ornamental elements of D into C, you're golden. :)

Not sure if you're still taking requests, but I would love to see you draw Shelke, from Dirge of Cerberus. Preferably holding those funky laser swords (and the funky glowing eyes whenever she uses those funky swords).

Magi Aug 23, 2006 10:07 PM

I am, although it might be slow, because this week has be somewhat rough. So if I am going to fill a request, its going to be rough too. >.>

Soldier Aug 23, 2006 10:26 PM

Take your time, I know the more you put into it, the more awesome it'll come out, so I'll be patient. :)

Lost_solitude Aug 24, 2006 10:42 AM

(again when ever you want) I was thinking of something like the big guy Banon from ff6 mixed with early (still living sc1) cervantes, but with a costume alittle like his sc3 costume. Not alot like it but alittle somthing to get an idea.

Admiral Amara Aug 30, 2006 10:07 PM

Sent a PM, you can get on that whenever you please (if you please).

EDIT: Already answered. Magi wins.

Spoiler:
if I could make a tiny criticism, the eyes and nose are a bit cat-like, making her appear.....cat-like. Still, thanks for fufilling the request.

This is a painting that I started 2 years ago. Although I haven't work on it for just about that long. So I rub off the face and repainted it a bit. This is done using watercolor.

aiyaitsai Sep 24, 2006 12:23 PM

Wow, I like that painting. I love how you painted the negative space so that the shape of the doves would show up. It seems the colors are lighter at the lower half of the painting, and personally I would've thought the clouds could have been brighter. Besides that great job~

JammerLea Sep 25, 2006 01:59 PM

Awesome. You have some really great stuff here! I love your figure work and am jealous of your use of color. Hehe.

Soldier Sep 25, 2006 02:44 PM

I'm not sure if you mentioned this before, but where did you learn to draw? Did you read any books or take any classes, or did you self-teach yourself? I've been considering for a while to get into drawing, but I don't really know where to start.

Magi Sep 25, 2006 03:45 PM

JammerLea: Thanks! :D

aiyaitsai: I am actually planning on painting over those clouds, they don't really look like real clouds. ^_^;;

SOLDIER: I think I told a couple of people before, the type of measure you take to learn how to draw really depending on what you want to accomplish. I do have a professional goal, so I am actually taking classes and practicing on my own in a somewhat consistent basis. The learning process is pretty structured and schematic and each experience build upon one another. Although in a way it is both, since I also read books on drawings and find reference materials on my own, however, guidance that I received in class help tremendously. If you are doing this on your own, then you can take a somewhat different approach to things. Thinking about more just on having fun then anything, and learn as you go. Start with stuff that you wanted to draw, if you want to draw characters, for example, you might want to check out some books on figure drawing (and anatomy for reference) from the library, and read up a little bit about basic body construction and understanding how to analyze form on a human body, or even on a more basic level, get a book that teaches you how to see objects as a build up of simpler and geometric objects, learn how to sketch, those would help. Although in general, you just have to enjoy drawing a lot on your own terms.

birdy Oct 2, 2006 08:13 AM

hi magi your art is fantastic, am first time here and bit of technophobe but during enforced sickness (broken kneecap snowboarding, silly thing to do at my age but they said life began at 40) i started drawing again which i haven't done since i was a kid. and have got into comic/manga/anime stuff if that's the right term for it. anyway to the point. Do you draw your stuff on the computer or do you scan it in? I know you'll all probably wetting your selves at such a spupid question and my bad typing, but would love to know so i can have a go myself. have done some onto paper but is nowhere near your standard. thanks

WOW! That's really fucking cool! You've gotten really good at the F-22. I'm turning this into a wallpaper!

Sachi Oct 20, 2006 09:49 AM

hiii. would you be able to draw me a baby dragon?

Description(tryinggg):
-back facing towards whoever is looking at it
-tail wrapped around the front of its body coming to the other side(if thats confusing jsut draw the tail wherever)
-head turned looking at us
-it looks innocent but you can tell theres an edge to it
-wings folded, sor that you can see the dragon
-cute horns and ears

thank you if you can! that would be so great! the more detailed the better. =D

Damn, that's amazing, I've never been very good at watercoloring. The wings just seem a bit thin though, other than that I think you create a really nice environment within the picture :).
