You're the only one.

The stage looks like it's set up so that a hover platform comes out of the ship, flies around, then docks again. The platform doesn't appear to be moving because the camera is locked on it from a 2D perspective (otherwise how would you fight on it?).

kuttlas May 15, 2006 07:27 PM

I just realized this now, but a halberd stage probably means an arrangement of the halberd theme from Kirby Super Star (my favorite song in the Kirby series). They better release an OST this time around.

Furby May 15, 2006 08:10 PM

I saw the trailer to the game and it gave me another reason for getting the Wii.. I have enjoyed the series up to now and with the addition of the new chars I think it will open up new possiblities.

Question though... Since they have the Zero Mission Samus...will they still include the other samus? And will the line up of the previous characters stay the same?

I don't see how it would be difficult to have the platform shake a bit, but I don't know. When Mario uses his super attack, the whole area shakes up. Ehh... whatever.

Answer: The other samus will be included, but only if you buy the special edition game. The line up of the previous characters will be the same save the following: Bowser has been scrapped, DK is now Diddy Kong, Goomba is now a playable character, and 128 more Pokemon have been added. These are all facts. I know because I made the game. I repeat, this is factual information.

Oh... My... GOD.

I am picturing the arrangement in my head now and am seriously creaming. Good observation!

All we can do at this point is assume, but I think it's safe to assume that they will keep original Samus AND all the characters.

The_Griffin May 15, 2006 09:09 PM

Care to link to the song for those who are unlucky enough to not have the OST on hand? ;_;

Yes, hold on...

Yes, yes, YES. That was the same song I was thinking of, but I never knew the name. That HAS to be the theme for Meta Knight's stage. Anything else would be a horrible FAILiure.

Also, Meta Knight's end-theme should be the end-theme for that Halberd game.

Why would they take out Bowser? I mean, he is a overall good player.

As for the 128 Pokemon, do you mean, as in the pokeball or actual playable characters????

Wall Feces May 16, 2006 12:24 AM

The other Halberd song is equally amazing (Kirby Arrives on the Scene). It's really a toss-up between both of them, because they are both prime choices.

Hell yes. That song's hella cool. It better be the song that gets used for his stage. In fact, pretty much all of the songs during the Revenge of Meta Knight's game from Kirby Super Star kick ass.:edgarrock:

They could always use both, there were alterenate songs for all the levels in melee

Thats true, and that would clearly be the best solution.

I wonder what the Pit's Kid Icarus level will be like? Only thing that comes to mind is an Ice Climbers esque level that keeps rising.

Soldier May 16, 2006 01:01 AM

Man, Meta Knight was cool in the game. Why the hell did they make him a good guy in the anime? A SPANISH good guy, at that? :tpg:

And I'd like the katakana for Klonoa's name, please. It's about time I gave him my vote.

Cobalt Katze May 16, 2006 01:46 AM

クロノア I think.

Buizel May 16, 2006 07:50 AM

Yeah, that's right. You could also add "kaze no" [風の] to the name too. Making it [風のクロノア].

Because Meta Knight was never really a total badguy. He's a knight. He's all about chivalry and stuff and the king he serves happens to be a bad egg now and then. King Dedede isn't totally a bad guy either. He's just greedy. He's about as bad as Wario.

Hell yeah, an arrangement of this song would rock. It's one of my favorites from KSS, period.

Wouldn't mind to see them composing an arrangement of 'Flying Into Nova' but I doubt it'll happen...

You mean the song that plays when Kirby is on the wheelbike and he watches the Halberd sink into the lava? That tune was pretty cool as well. Hirokazu Ando gets all of my praise if he can make these dreams into reality. :edgartpg:

Even though my experience with Kirby games is limited (Superstar and the Crystal Shards), from what I could see, the rivalry between Meta Knight and Kirby was personal. It looked like he built the Halberd just so he could get revenge on Kirby ("Time to die, Kirby!"). The Meta Knight in the anime (based on a few episodes I saw before I gave up on the series) spends more time helping Kirby, and it was even hinting that he and Kirby were the same race (this part is possible, since a brief look at him without the mask shows him looking like a blue Kirby).

Maybe wiki will give me the answer.

FatsDomino May 16, 2006 12:22 PM

Fine. Let's check wiki.

Quote:

Meta Knight, while often seen as a menacing and warlike figure, is extremely chivalrous, even to the point of providing Kirby with a sword before fighting him. He is not evil per se (though he has attempted world domination, as seen in Kirby Super Star), but seems to see Kirby as a rival. However, in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, he was a great help in defeating the final boss, in that he provided Kirby with his sword, Master, the ultimate power in the game. When defeated, his dark mask often shatters, revealing a cute, round, blue creature that, aside from coloration, closely resembles Kirby himself. He often covers himself and runs away in such an instance so as not to be seen, perhaps ashamed of his Kirby-like features, or at least possessing some desire for Kirby not to know of them. While this implies they are of the same species, many fans mistakenly believe it also means they're related. However, there's no evidence for this and it's purely speculation.
grapes

Yup. I'm right.

Soldier May 16, 2006 12:25 PM

Seems so. I guess Superstar just had him in a slightly more vindictive role.

I need to look up Pit's information while I'm at it. I could never get past the first level in Kid Icraus. :tpg:

Kaleb.G May 16, 2006 12:34 PM

Ah, but then why does Meta Knight have fingers when Kirby doesn't?

MYSTERY.
