It's not really a difficult request and I can probably do it myself, but I find I enjoy the element of suprise/unexpected when I look at avatars/sigs someone else does because it's not something I usually do for myself. (Not that I should speak, since I am guilty of keeping the same avatar for a good part of ...what, 5 years?)

It helps that Philia stickied a "Here's how you request artwork/ava/sigs from GFF artists" instruction. Otherwise I wouldn't have found it either. =P
