Let's just say you won't find this shit with shows like 24 or whatever.

Seriously...I'd like to know how that's the best show ever when it's the same thing every year...Jack Bauer gets into a zany plot that involves terrorists, killing the president...It's buffy the vampire slayer for guys :(

Then again, I'm pretty sure Heroes will turn into a "save the world" over and over again....which is gonna be sad :(

parKbench Feb 5, 2007 09:36 PM

Yeah, it seems once every year Jack Bauer has 24 hours of hell. I wonder if it's the same day every year?

Inhert Feb 5, 2007 10:05 PM

Spoiler:
OMG Claire is Nathan daughter!

I really wonder what will happen with that...

and now Peter has found how to controle his power, wll not really, more like re-called them...so it's seem that he could be has powerful as Silar....

Yeah, about that: How did he get out of jail? I didn't get the impression he was on the run from the law when he was "practicing," but I never really saw him get released, or heard the FBI agents mention him again.

Crash "Long-Winded Wrong Answer" Landon Feb 5, 2007 10:19 PM

There was a brief scene after Ted's capture that depicted the cop car in which he'd been escorted as having been pretty much decimated by a small explosion. The policeman called the CIA agent to inform her that Ted had managed to escape.

Ted had been unseen since then, but was shown in a small shack in the middle of nowhere during the special "preview" two weeks ago. It was then that the "Hannah" woman contacted him over the internet connection that Ted technically didn't have.

nazpyro Feb 5, 2007 11:08 PM

Pyro mom. <3

Haha, what an episode awesome. (So excited that I typed those words out in that order, and I'm gonna keep it that way.)

I let out a little "otru" at this line:

You get to see people for how they truly are when they think they're alone: selfish, deceitful, and gassy.

makura Feb 5, 2007 11:16 PM

Ted escaped by blowing up his police escort vehicle. Isaac also had a painting of it before it happened.

Today's ep..
Spoiler:
It just pulls on my heart to see that Sylar is on the loose still. Mr. Bennet is going to have a lot on his hands when he has Sylar, Ted, and Hana to worry about. Possibly Matt too if he decides to turn into a badguy.

I wonder if Haitian man will tell Claire to be aware that Sylar is still on the loose. That'll make her worry more than ever.
We still don't get to know who Linderman is.. darn.

Yeldarb Feb 5, 2007 11:21 PM

Well based on earlier speculations it appears that Mr. Bennet doesn't have any or still just hasn't shown his power yet. I mean it would be tough if your only way to protect yourself is through Haitian.

Drex Feb 5, 2007 11:45 PM

Yeah, still pretty much in the dark on everything here. All that they cleared up was:
Spoiler:
Claire has a mom who plays with fire.
Nathan is Claire's daddy.
Sylar is free.
Mr. Bennett is still a jerk, and we still don't know if he has any powers.
Hiro still can't control his powers.
Peter knows how to access his powers, but still can't control them.
I still can't wait until the next Monday. -_-

VitaPup Feb 6, 2007 12:41 AM

Did the Haitian ever explain why he helps Mr. Bennett? I kind of got the impression that he and Eden would do things behind his back.

Also, my roommate was watching the first episode tonight and in the beginning, Mohinder gives a lecture to his class about how God would be like a Cockroach because it is the perfect example of an evolved creature (or something to that effect). Anyway, he goes on to list all the advantages they as a species possess, including resistance to radiation. Now I may be overanalyzing things here, but the entire time Silar was in his cell, he was staring at that Cockroach so I wonder if he somehow learned how to be resistant radiation which may play into Ted's character and/or some connection to the bomb.

Drex Feb 6, 2007 12:44 AM

That's a good pull. I bet they're making reference to that, though we can't be quite sure why. I have a feeling it's just as intricate as we think it might be. :p

Shonos Feb 6, 2007 01:16 AM

Okay so.. the newer comic showed that the two marks on some of the heroes necks are nothing but a way for Bennet, and whatever organization he belongs to, to track them.

Still waiting to find out what that dna symbol means. :\

Turbo Feb 6, 2007 02:14 AM

How much of a stab in the dark would it be if I were to ask if Linderman could very well possibly be
Spoiler:
Future Hiro

nuttyturnip Feb 6, 2007 10:54 AM

Isn't it odd that Mr. Bennet's government ID doesn't list his first name? They're trying to hide his name for some reason, but they shouldn't have bothered to show it. In this day and age, it's just not possible to get an ID that doesn't have a first name.

Also, I'm loving Christopher Eccleston's character. It's so much like the Doctor, but with a darker twist. The whole pivotal scene with Peter this week was just perfect.

The Furious One Feb 6, 2007 08:57 PM

Haha I was right about Nathan.

Ahh thats very good, that would be great if that turned out correct

I was thinking the same, that would be so cool. But wouldnt explain why Linderman wants all the paintings. Unless future hiro never managed to stop the bomb, and he has had to repeatidly go back and forth from the future and past.

Hiro's sister, is my new fav hottie :tpg:

Additional Note:
Just realised another thing, what was the deal with Sylar saying whether he'll kill Mrs Bennett or the Claire first??? Why didn't he kill Mr Bennett, he must of known someone would of come for him sooner or later.

Menzoberranzan Feb 7, 2007 07:10 AM

Maybe Sylar found Mrs. Bennet incredibly annoying and was deciding which pleasure would be better, shutting her up or getting Claire's power. He probably didn't kill Mr. Bennet as he wanted him to know that his cared ones are all gonna be pushing up daises soon and that there is nothing he can do about it.

If you got locked up by some dude and experimented on, wouldn't you want to keep him alive and locked up while you wreck havoc in his life as the ultimate revenge? lol

Somehow I do not think the Cockroach + Sylar was to deal with the radiation issue. If I recall, the reason why a cockroach can survive a nuclear explosion is because they are extremely smart at finding tiny knooks and crannies to hide in. Sylar probably studied the cockroach to learn about that playing dead abilitiy, why and how I have no idea though.

This latest episode was so freaking cool. Especially with the Claude+Peter scenes lol

parKbench Feb 7, 2007 07:16 AM

I wonder who else the Invisible man trained. They hinted that he has been able to use his powers for years and Bennet knew exactly who he was once Issac said that Peter must have been invisible.

Yeah I noticed that too. There was also the part when
Spoiler:
Mrs. Bennet was talking to Sylar about how everyone seems to call him Mr. Bennet whereas she has always known him as... well, Mr. Muggles interrupted her so we ain't going to be finding out anytime soon I don't think. Damn you Mr. Muggles, damn you!

Spoiler:
The question is: How do we interpret this? Is it because the Heroes team have yet to think up a name for Mr.Bennet or is it because he has a name that would clear up a lot of stuff plotwise? Is his name perhaps Linderman(unlikely because Linderman sounds a lot more like a family name)?

On a side note, I hardly recognised Mr.Bennet w/o his glasses. :)

The Wise Vivi Feb 8, 2007 05:55 PM

Hey guys! I just finished watching the Heroes episode from this week and check it out! I just knew there would be something!

Nice License Plate!

aznxinvazn Feb 8, 2007 06:10 PM

Does that happen to be a Star Trek reference? I don't watch much Star Trek...

The Wise Vivi Feb 8, 2007 06:12 PM

NCC-1701 is the serial code for the starship Enterprise. There were six ships commissioned, NCC-1701 A, B, C, D, E.

George Takei, the man who acts as Hiros' Father on Heroes, is Commander (and later Captain) Sulu on Star Trek.

parKbench Feb 8, 2007 06:18 PM

I kept waiting for Takei to say "Oh my."

I'm thinking Sylar. He's the only other person who has really really good control over multiple abilities. Like when he got telekinesis (shouldn't be a spoiler....) from the fat guy. The fat guy didn't know how to use it, but now he can turn off lights, and pin people to walls etc.

I think thats just purely down to his initial power of being able to see how things work.

Do I smell a showdown between Sylar and the invisible man!?!?!
