Considering Kojima's team has always strived to put out the best looking graphics for every system, then yes it would be a major point.

Also, not like Metal Gear will be on the Wii. Kojima already stated he'd be interested in doing other Wii projects, not MGS.

Metal Gear Goukku's have organic legs. Nobody really knows why. Presumably because they function better than robotic legs.

They've spewed "blood"/oil, since MGS2. Pointing out that scene of Solidus vs Rays, or just the Raiden vs Rays battle. What's really wierd is how the new ones leave excrements (or at least what appears to be).

What I want to know is what the hell creature they took the legs from to graft onto those REX bodies. :/

The "blood" that spews out of Ray is nanopaste/mechanical fluid. The Gekko's presumably bleed real blood since their legs are organic. Presumably the legs were engineered in a lab somewhere to be specifically used on the Gekkos.

I like how Raiden doesn't even have to kill one of the Gekkos, he simply jumps onto it and spins it's spherical camera eyes around so it gets dizzy and falls over! LOL.

So what's everyone's take on Raiden now?... you think he's even human anymore? his chin was discolored. His feet are abstract and tripod'ish. It also seems like he can take damage to his body and almost not feel anything. Maybe that Raiden is not the real one?

Probably just a bit more battle hardened and got a new suit.

I wonder if Flynn'll make Raiden's voice deeper. Raiden sounded pretty hardcore with his Japanese in the trailer.

Kojima's dealt with clones before, but there's nothing too special about Raiden to warrant being cloned. However, someone brought up the whole thing about Raiden being the wave of the future, contradicting Snake's claim about real battle experience and leaving him obsolete. This is just something to throw out there, but whereas Big Boss before was the ideal soldier, maybe VR troopers are the new standard and Raiden's at the top?

Yeah, that's not gonna happen but if one want to pile on theories, well there's something to mull over, I guess.

It's the real Raiden; people say the easy way out is to do some cheap drama involving Rose's death and possible children. I am supposing it will actually relate to Olga's child; he'll get in too deep and be torn to shreds somehow.

I wonder this too, as Flynn's whiney Raiden won't suit this new - bad ass- Raiden. Heh, and the funny thing is that Raiden's voice in the japanese voice tracks (well, in MGS2 anyway) has always been that deep.

Hmm, maybe Kojima's saving him for the next trailer (TGS?). And possibly go all out with the gameplay footage.

Kojima hardly ever shows gameplay footage in his trailers.

I wonder if Big Boss is gonna be shown at TGS. I hope there's less Raiden footage for more new characters, even if he is so stylish. I do hope that any more Raiden footage will be talking, not just more over-the-top action.

That'd be cool if there was a knives-to-sword+knife duel between Vamp and Raiden. I call that.

Heh I was looking up what other voices Quinton Flynn had done, and I thought I had heard him in Advent children, but I had the wrong character down. He did Reno, and not Kadaj like I had thought. Though it would've made sense lol.. Kadaj and Raiden look very similar.

Well, considering that MGS2 and 3's first trailers demonstrated nothing but gameplay footage (though cinematic angles), I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility just yet. All the footage shown for the MGS4 trailers so far have been FMVs. So I think he's due for a gameplay one.

We can always hope, but we probably won't see any til next year's E3.

What do two characters that look alike have anything to do with the same voice actors? :p

Besides, it's pretty obvious that Quinton Flynn plays Reno, AND Axel from KH2. His voice doesn't change very much.

I just said that because that's what kadaj reminded me of, and sometimes they pick actors for similar looking characters, it's happened before. (Spike and Mugen)

Not yet. Supposedly there's a version out, but I'm skeptical because it's easy to confuse for the hi def 3 min trailer.

Wasn't Kojima supposed to show off actual gameplay by playing the game himself? There should be footage of that if it happens (wait, when does E3 end?)

Nope, GameSpot mentioned something about it before E3 but it was never confirmed. There was another Konami conference but Kojima just mentioned the game was still too early in the development stage for any kind of a playable demo.

Some info gathered from the conference and press interviews reveals...

• The old MGS gameplay is out.
• Online support and use of the Dual Shock 3's motion sensory abilities.
• Snake's new suit uses a new camo system, as seen in the trailer, called the OCTOCAM. Taking MGS3's camo index to the next leve, the OCTOCAM allows the suit to only change to reflect the environment it interacts with and blend but also adopts the texture of the object/environment too.
• While Raiden's role is still vague you can think of him as the new Gray Fox, helping Snake out when he's in a pinch. Raiden will NOT be playable.
• MGS4 doesn't just take place in one location but multiple regions and countries across the world.

Sideshow Toys will be distributing the figure Stateside so there's no need to pay high import prices like Medicom's MGS3 Real Action Heroes stuff. :)

I guess we just have to wait till MGS4: Insistence for playable Raiden.

You got it wrong man, Kojima-san always thinks about the game before finding the subtitle for the Special Edition. In this case, he thought about Snake's condition, hence: METAL GEAR SOLID 4: INCONTINENCE.
